Sorry, $2900, cant believe I forgot that. I recently bought this from a member on mye28, I never had any intention to get rid of it, and I have been slowly making it into a more 'acceptable' daily driver. It's still really wild and depending on your tolerance you may not want to use it daily. I personally did, and it gets a ton of attention. It's still very loud, though I did have the entire front half of the exhaust redone to fix leaks. It quieted it down a little bit, and made it sound better overall. But I ended up keeping the muffler it has for the attention it attracts. People just seem to love this car, always taking pictures of it and asking about it.
Here's the original for sale thread:
Here are some of the highlights:
It's technically an 88 528, with everything swapped over from a 535, 188k on body, a little over 210k on drivetrain.
M30/265 5sp
Bilstein HDs
Mtech springs
ST 25/19 sway bars
3.25 lsd
e34 540i big brakes all around
Momo prototipo steering wheel
Recaro speed drivers seat
bkbimmer front strut tower bar
(4) 16x10 BBS RS with 245/45/16s
Motorsport Tech custom hubcentric adapters (Over $300 alone)
VDO oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, volt gauges- temporarily installed but never wired
Some things I did: added a back seat, added door panels, added a sound deadening material to the floor, added a sony radio and speakers up front, redid shadowline trim, bled clutch which was catching almost off the floor and making it difficult to go in gear, now it shifts beautifully, switched to stock tails but have all reds, swapped in ellipsoids and an HID kit, redid front half of exhaust to fix a bunch of leaks, fixed speedo. I think that's mostly it, probably other little things here and there that I'm just not thinking of right now.
Also comes with a spare black hood, BMW 15" steelies with nice winterforce snow tires on them, the all red tails, a few oil filters, extra front brake rotors, some engine gaskets and other related parts.
Honestly this is one of the most fun cars I've driven between the suspension, tires, brakes and then the seat, steering wheel and shift knob, I think it's really awesome. A really great drivers car. And it certainly attracts a lot of attention, that could be good or bad I suppose. So why am I selling it so soon and after putting a bunch of work into it? Well last night I was playing around on eBay and sort of accidentally won myself a 2007 335i. I really don't have room for multiple cars, and I'm going to honor my bid on the 335. It will probably make the girlfriend happy at least lol. I will certainly miss this car, and I am firm on the price at least for now, considering I don't have to get rid of it, it would just make life easier to not have to move cars around all the time. So let me know if anyone is interested.
Thanks,
Jason
