OK so This is my second E30 in about 3 years.. and i love this car to death but i really really want an e34 SO my decision is your gain...

Bought it around 8 months ago and since have made quite a few upgrades and fixes to the car to spruce it up
89 325is Manual
The good-
-Clean title
-Engine rebuilt by PO in 2003 (no receipt but there is a painted on date of rebuild on the block)
-Long tube Stahl headers to a custom Dual resonator exhaust system
-Replaced bad sport seats with unmolested, rip free tan comforts
- Interior is damn near flawless 2 medium sized rips in the dash but are discrete
Paint job was done in 2010 by PO....no receipt either but you can tell its fresh
Pioneer Head unit
Regular maintenance preformed-
Cooling system overhaul 3 weeks ago (radiator, thermostat, hoses)
oil change 3 weeks ago (20w50) as well as valve adjustment
oil pressure sensor replacement 2 months ago
Timing belt was done in june of 2011 (have service sticker)
new AFM this summer
the not so good..
Odo is broken has mileage on the chassis as 193***k
engine is realistically alot less than that considering the gentleman before more only drove it 2 times a week.
my estimate on the high side would be between 75-100k which compensates for the rebuild in 2003
No power steering (this isn't really big deal for me as the car drives and handles just fine..can only tell when the car is at a stand still)
2 or 3 scratches in the paint but nothing bad
1 area of body blemish on the driver side rear quarter panel..(will provide pics)
Dash 2 rips (already discussed)
front lip needs a resurface and respray (no idea what happened to it)
weather strip on the drivers side and passenger side both have strips missing.. making it sound like you are in a small tunnel with a fan.. (both spots are quarter sized)
Brake lining light on the odo and Oil level light on the SI board are on (have been since i purchased the car and has given me no issues just haven't replaced the sensors
these are all very small problems and All in all this car is less than 500 dollars away from being completely restored and damn near perfect..
i Have a quote from macco for a respray and resurface of the front valence at 300 dollars (that and lowering springs and the senors are all that prevent it)
other than that and regular maintenance, you have yourself a fine example of a stock e30 in really nice shape..i get looks and questions to sell it all the time and i don't want to sell it to some redneck hillbilly so he will street it and turn it into a POS.... i want someone who will appreciate this car as i have. I take it to local shows and as of yet i haven't seen a cleaner, more complete e30 in east Tennessee other than robs AC e30.....but that's not even fair...lol
so with all that being said I am asking 5,000 even and i am pretty damn solid on that price b/c i am not in a huge rush to sell and i know that I will get pretty close to the asking price sooner rather than later. You would be hard pressed to find a e30 with a rebuilt engine in alpine that has been unmolested and with a clean interior these days for much less..
Only thing i will consider trades for is a e34 MANUAL transmission or a amazing e28 MANUAL
