Posting this to gauge any potential interest in this project that hasn't been started. lol
87 bmw 528e (2.7L m20 engine unmodified)
zero, zero, zero rust
130k miles
5 speed
2.93 lsd rear end
full leather/ interior in great shape (carpet looks brand new just dirty floormats)
power seats all work (minus headrest, motors work but dont move)
one small cosmetic dent pictured
clear coat mostly gone on roof/hood/trunk
the car needs rear subframe mounts replaced $100 part
also the shifter bushings need to be replaced $100+/- part (shifts sloppy but works)
makes some throwout bearing squeals but works fine
ARE two piece wheels 16x8/16x7 staggered 5x130 (need adapters to 5x120 for this car)
two rear tires are close to shot. the fronts are like new
Full plug and play megasquirt stand alone with bmw ecu (from 2.5L m20)
AEM wideband o2 sensor/gauge new
Holset hx40 turbo/downpipe, unknown miles, zero shaft play, welded wastegate, downpipe included
godspeed wastegate, 15/12/7 psi springs, 15 psi in the wg atm. and downpipe
My goal was to swap the head w/a 325i head and boost it to 3-400 hp. Should be easily done @15psi. For less than $3,000
I would like to sell the entire project for $2100 obo (if you cant get close to that dont waste my time with some bs offer)
or just the car for $1100. If the car sells I would part the rest out
