There was a car similar to this that was a Lachsilber 89 IS that went for $9200. I think that member had a build thread somewhere
Stock M20, every single thing was replaced and refirbished. Completely restored e30

ahhh so car wasn't accelerating correctly. Pulled it back into the garage. Turns out a broken rocker arm!!!

So as of today the block is the only thing in the car.

Ordered this to do the mini head rebuild:

- New Valve Cover Gasket
- New Head Gasket
- New Head Bolts
- New Febi Rocker Arms qty. 12
- New Valve Stems seals
- Eccentrics
- Oil
- Oil Filter
- Coolant

Car will be up and running Friday. Didnt know much about the engine other than it had 164k miles. So now we know.... Wanted to be honest here and not just change out the one rocker arm. I heard the rocker arms are weak on this car so im replacing all of them..Ill post pics of the work.

Some pics of the build.

New valve stems.

New crank shaft seal.

New arms, new eccentrics

She's back on the engine block with new head gasket, new bolts (torqued to spec) new valve cover, new intake manifold, new exhaust manifold. Did the valve Clarence job also last night.

Finishing it up tonight with hoses, clutch fan, MAF, radiator, and oil change.

My price before this was 7k. I'm sure that it will change from the parts and the head being refreshed. I think that's fair. I'll probably drive it for a couple of days just to make sure everything is super smooth.
