    90 325i coupe, 5spd SoCal $*SOLD*

    ****SOLD****

The time has come to cut my losses. I have put over $5k into this car, with receipts for most of it. Countless hours have gone into rebuilding or replacing nearly every critical part on this car...new baby and lack of time forces sale. Mechanically solid, pulls hard, drives great. Only major downside is that its in dire need of a respray...that was last on my to-do list.

    Car Info:
    1990 325i coupe 5 speed
    205xxx miles on working odometer
CA car, only 1 tiny rust bubble on the sunroof panel (pictured)
    Calypso/Black Interior

Major work has gone into this car, all within the last 5-10k miles. Over the last 3 years, this car has been driven less than 500 miles.

    Suspension:
    New billy sports F/R
    H&R Sport Springs
Rebuild front suspension( new control arms, tie rods, sway bar links, m3 offset CAB's, bushings)
    new e46 rear shock mounts
    Falken Zeix Tires

    Drive train:
    Brand New Sachs clutch
    Brand new TO bearing
    Brand new Sachs Pressure Plate
    LTW Euro 323i flywheel
All the "while your in there" stuff done during clutch job (rear main seal, pilot bearing, etc.)
Tranny Resealed and Filled with Redline Fluid
Diff flushed and filled with Redline
Brand New z3 Shifter, all rebuilt bushings and linkage

    Engine:
    Miller Maf Kit w/factory airbox
    New plug wires
    New plugs
    New dist. cap/rotor
Timing belt/water pump done 10k ago
    Valves adjusted
    New valve cover gasket
    Oil pan gasket replaced
    Intake manifold gasket replaced
    TB gaskets replaced
    Misc vac lines replaced
    Brand New intake boot
Brand new main relay, fuel relay
    Fuel pump replaced 10k ago
Misc soft fuel lines all replaced
    Brand new CPS sensor
    Brand new TPS sensor
    New 02 Sensor
Intake Manifold/Valve cover painted VHT wrinkle black
    A/C Recharged with Freeze12
    New alternator
Thermostat replaced when I did timing belt
    New Coolant Temp Sensor
    New Coolant Temp switch

    Exhaust:
Stock manifolds into a high-flow magnaflow Cat (brand new)
    Single-exit Bullet cat-back
    Sounds like a v-8

    Brakes:
    Brand New front/rear rotors
Brand new soft lines replaced (front, rear, and the pain in the ass ones under the sub frame)
    Brand Hawk HPS pads
All calipers were disassembled, cleaned, and seals replaced
System flushed and re-filled with ATE super blue fluid
    New brake pad sensors
New e-brake shoes on both rear corners

    Interior:
New leather e-brake and shifter boot
Very nice condition IS vinyl interior. Only 1 small hole in driver seat, and normal bolster wear. Passenger seat looks like its never been sat in
    Cracked dash
Blaupunkt Miami CD with Aux in
Brushed silver gauge rings, red needles
    working glove-box latch
    Perfect condition knee bolster
    MT1 Steering wheel
    Carpet Dyed black
Gauge Panel with VDO Gauges (volts, oil pressure, water temp) color matched to BMW red dash lights. Volts is the only one I had time to hook up.
    New blower Motor Resistor
    Rebuilt drivers door lock cylinder

    Exterior:
    US Ellipsoids with 6k HIDs
Brand new Fog lights with 6k HIDs
    Smoothed front valence
    Tinted windows (20% i think)
    E28 Mt1 spoiler

    Known Issues:
    Fugly Paint
Grills are cracked, front bumper trim cracked
2 small rust bubbles (sunroof and trunk lid)
Oil pan drain plug was replaced at some point in its life by one of those Quick Drain Valves. It drips very small amount of oil
Steering rack has leak from banjo bolt (easy fix, just haven't gotten to it yet).
    Dash cracked
    Antenna needs new mast
    Central locking is wonky
Brake lining light goes on and off, even though brakes are brand new. I'm assuming a short or bad wear sensor.
Even though tread is still great on the tires, they are 4 years old. I would swap them out.

Overall the car has been gone over pretty well, and huge money dumped into replacing things. Any job done on the car was done thoroughly, and all the "while you're in there" items done. The most major defect on this car is the appearance, which i never got around to. The body is straight, no accidents. Minor dings and dents there, nothing outside expected for a 23 year old car.

Willing to discuss any aspect of the car in detail, and available to show the car in person to any serious buyer. I have a 10-month old baby, so my time is short...please don't waste it. Not looking to ship right now unless you can arrange everything, and all I have to do is give the truck driver the keys.

Small gallery here, and more pics available upon request:

edit I forgot to add that I have a whole slew of extra parts that would come with car. New set of exhaust manifold gaskets, misc parts, E36 switches, Oil filter sandwich plate for the Oil Temp gauge, and a near complete leather interior (f/r door cards, map pulls, rear seat).

besides a red late model 325 IS, this would be my second option car. This should sell quickly, good price.

We may be in touch within the next coupe days. I will be arriving in socal this Wednesday and will need a car asap. Do you think I could buff the paint out so it shines again?

Nooo! ): you had a build thread somewhere I believe and you were doing such justice to the car!

Glws. One of the cars I wouldn't hesitate to buy.

Thanks guys. It really pains me to sell it, the car has come so far. But with a new baby and my job, I don't have any time left to work on it, or enjoy driving it. If I had a bigger garage I'd just store it till life calms down, but it's a 4th car for me, and storage is limited. Just want it to go to a good home with someone that has the time and money to finish it correctly.

Yes, I think you could buff it out to a nicer shine, but it will not be perfect. Here is a pic from when I spent a weekend with a porter cable and pads/compounds/sealants making it shine. Looked good for about a month, then it faded back to a dull satin color. Maybe it was just something I did wrong. There are still spots where the paint has faded, and you can see the darker primer underneath.

Updated the photo gallery with some pics taken today. Also have had some requests about the idle and the exhaust note. Added 2 videos to first post: start up and idle, and a short clip just cruising around. iPhone vids, so don't expect much.
