No reason to "not buy this car" maube the po swapped out cluster. Worth checking out if you are looking. He may not know that the cluster is wrong mileage. Thanks for the heads up though.

The E30 cluster is pretty damn easy to swap and we all know the odometers and SI boards go out all of the damn time. It could have easily had a different cluster put in there and the current owner has no idea.

he said the car has 178 on it and the timing belt broke at 175 so the head has a fresh rebuild... but this guy has been lying about everything.. apparently the paint cost him $1500 last month as well..

I agree that this seller is sketch. I called about this car a few days ago, and ran the carfax so I knew the mileage was off. I talked him down to 3800 but I still felt off about it. He said he had the body shop fix the head and the paint, and that he had it repainted so everything would match. I would be guessing this car got in a bad accident and then was fixed.
