Very well put together ad. Why was the trunk painted?

Whoa read the warning at the bottom of the ad:

Warning - this car gets lots of attention.

With so many plastic bumpered beauties on this forum its nice to see such shine from a west german diving board. Seriously a beauty. GLWS hope it goes to a good home.
West German BMWs, they just don't make the same as they did before the wall fell.
^Case in point: Auto-Repair Technology. Everytime my car isn't starting or acting up I let it sit, sometimes for an hour, sometimes for days. But it eventually fixes itself.

Thanks, Neo! I used to envy the plastic bumpered beauties, but now I have a new appreciation for the diving boards. Even seriously considered a conversion (or a tuck) a couple of years ago, but instead, I opted to have the rubber strips painted to match the body... done by one of the best paint guys in the Metro NY area (in East Orange NJ).

I'm not exaggerating - on average, I get 2 or 3 compliments just while cruising around the neighborhood. Kills me to let her go, but I have 4 cars in a family of 2 drivers and the wifey is on my case to either get rid of this one or trade for a more "family-friendly" vehicle.

It was originally my mom's car, but I bought it from her a few years ago. Always titled under my dad (and still is). Purchased new from Ultimate BMW in Queens. I still have the original sales invoice. My parents lost all of the service records when they moved, but I have everything since I acquired the car.

About the trunk being painted (great catch, MrSlacker) - the entire car got a nice respray about 10 years ago - and the "325e" emblem was put on the opposite side. I left it there because I get a kick out of seeing who will notice. Kudos to you, MrSlacker! - you're the only one that noticed in all the years that I've owned it. Then again, this is the first time that I've posted it anywhere.

Who are you insured with? I'm guessing your yearly miles are pretty limited?

American Collectors Insurance / Geico. Limited to 7,500 miles a year, but I never even come close to that... put less than 1,000 on it last year.
