€€€€€€€ SOLD €€€€€€€
I would like to sell my clean titled 1991 Laguna Green 318iC with 113K original miles that is in beautiful condition. I purchased this car 3 years ago with 95K miles and it has been my reliable daily driver (mostly driving to work 3 miles round trip) with occasional trips to Southern California to visit my folks. The way I understand the history of the car is that while it has been in zero accidents during my ownership, the original owner (an older lady) hit the left bumper against a traffic post in 1994 which resulted in the left fender having being replaced by the factory with a DOT-R unit. All other panels are original.
I am a physician by trade and felt proud of parking my cabriolet next to the other fancy vehicles belonging to my colleagues mainly because I thought it looked just as good if not better than theirs. I am also a proud owner of a genuine M Tech II, 1989 M3, and a 1998 M3 and unfortunately I simply can't afford to negotiate safekeeping four cars in the city of San Francisco so the 318iC will have to leave the family. I also have to mention that these cars are a hobby of mine that I come to after hectic weeks at the hospital and I enjoy working on them. For this reason, I hardly have any repair receipts from mechanic shops but I have tons of receipts for parts that I have purchased new and replaced myself. The was registered today and therefore the registration is good for another whole year ( a 98 dollar value, that's how much it cost me to register it)
With that said, here is a list of preventative maintenance performed on my 318iC:
-Oil changes were regular and OEM oil filter was solely used
-Car doesn't leak a drop of oil unless parked on a steep hill in San Francisco
-New slotted rotors and pads, break fluids replaced at 101K
-New BMW OEM Crank Position Sensor replaced at 110K
-The mess under the intake modification at 110K
-New Fuel pump and filter at 110K
-New Thermostat, water pump, cooling system refresh at 100K
-AC converted to R134a at 95K, new evaporator, drier tank, etc.
-New NKG spark plugs at 110K
-New Air filter at 110K
-New SI batteries replaced 3 months ago along with odometer gears
-New Front KYB shocks replaced
-New manual top installed 6 month ago (an intoxicated idiot, for lack of a better word, thought it was a fun idea to sketch his name on my brand new rear window at a Giants game at AT&T Park. His ass was accordingly kicked into shape but his name remains on the window. A simple polish will remove this but alas my busy schedule has prevented me from doing this.)
-Differential replaced with an open 3.73 medium case with confirmed 67K miles on it at 100K due to a small leak in the original unit)
-Rear shock mounts replaced at 112K with OEM BMW units
-The front worn seats were replaced with clean vinyl sport seats with a very minor imperfection on the top of the driver left top bolster, consult the pictures for a better understanding. The door cards were also replaced to match the color.
My asking price for this car is SOLD. I can be persuaded to lean a little this way or that way if you work with me and don't insult me with a low offer or make a big deal out of a ding here or a scratch there. Furthermore, I'm in no rush to sell this car. I have paid its registration and it sits in an indoor garage at work so it's safe and sound. Here is a link to some photos I snapped three days ago:
I would also appreciate it if you keep any negative comments you may have to yourself. Positive comments are certainly appreciated and encouraged.
