Hello
After a lot of thinking and A LOT (around 8,000 miles) of driving, I decided I’m going to sell the E36. The car has been good to me but I honestly can’t stand the way the E36 looks. Overall, the car is in okay condition. Nothing bad but there is a lot of original 15-year-old parts. I did the S54 swap by myself in my garage and Castro did the ECU coding. The cars been garaged it’s whole life and has lived within a 30mi radius of Los Angeles. There is absolutely no rust and as useless as it is now, I have all the documents from the original owner (including window sticker and 2nd key). It has no AC but you’ll just have to live with it. As for the smog, you’re on your own and I can't smog it for you before selling. Don’t ask me about other states because I have not lived outside CA. Now, I wouldn’t say the car is completely done but it’s streetable and is my daily driver. If I were to keep the car, I would do the following to finish her up:
New front fender liners
Either front aluminum underpanel like Motion or my original plan, full chassis mounted front splitter
New Tires
Tune from Epic Motorsports
Custom Oil Cooler Setup
New 3.5” Exhaust
New bushings on subframe/diff, RTAB and FCAB
6 point harness
AKG Chassis mounted shifter
Car:
1998 E36 M3 Coupe build date 03/1998
Technoviolet with Mulberry…ish interior

67,000 mi on motor

Full Documents
Exterior:
7/10
All the panels are OEM with original paint but the rear spoiler is fading. The front nose panel has a small dent, the hood has 2 dents, the rear passenger side quarter has a small dent and the driver side door has another small dent. All the dents can be removed via PDR but I just didn’t care enough to do it. The roof has a small scratch from the PO installing a Sirius XM antennae and the A pillar has a dent from road debris. The front bumper should get repainted but since it was originally going to be my daily/track car, I didn’t bother with it. All 4 fenders are slightly pulled so you can run 17x9.5 +23 with 255/40/17 R compounds.
Interior:
It’s hard to rate the interior since many parts were removed to install the Auto Power roll bar. To start, the trunk area is gutted and the rear seat area is also gutted. The only thing remaining in that area is the rear shelf since I still wanted my speakers in the car. The front needs floormats since the old ones are worn to crap. The front driver bucket seat is in excellent condition but the OEM driver and OEM passenger is ripped. I can include a Sparco Evo for additional $. The door panel is coming slightly apart but can be fixed before selling.
Motor and Transmission
I just got the dyno done last month and comparing it to my friend’s E46 M3 with a fresh motor rebuild, it’s just as healthy. It’s putting down a healthy 307 rwhp and 238rwtq. Motor has around 68,000 miles now and rod bearing was done at 30,000 miles. Valve adjustment, CPV, Vanos gasket, oil pan gasket, miscellaneous O-rings and new sensors were done while the motor was on the engine stand. Cooling system was overhauled using new Z3M S54 Behr radiator, new hoses, and Canton Racing Aluminum overflow tank and stainless braided AN lines sitting where the Euro overflow would be. Transmission is my original 5speed with a 5th gear lean and the flywheel is a used JB racing coupled to a new Sachs OEM clutch/pressure plate/throw out bearing.
Suspension/Wheels/Brakes
The brakes were just done last week using Agency Power Stainless 6 piece stainless lines, Centric Rotors, Performance Friction Z Compound, and RBF 600 fluid. The suspension is where the car is lacking since this was the last thing I was going to do. It’s currently on Ground Control Street coilovers but besides the RTAB bushing and FCAB bushing, everything is OEM. I will include new AKG weld on plate for the RTAB pocket and Front Subframe that’s sitting in my garage. Wheels are in good condition except for the passenger side that I curb rashed last week. Tires are used and needs replacement soon.
