FS: 1991 318is with S52, ASTs, Massive BBK

    .

Up for sale is my 318is/S52. I've owned this for just over two years now and turned it from an m50 swap on tired suspension into something that does very well on track and will get you home after. If I didn't live in AZ I would still consider daily driving it (I did a couple of weeks in winter), but that is definitely not what this car is about. The suspension is on the stiff side, but very controlled on the road. The gearing is short. The interior has partly self-lightened itself by shedding non-critical items here and there (all present and sold with car). The current tires are less than stellar in rain.

Why do I need to sell it? I've been living here for work for two years, and am getting ready to go back home to Europe in July. I sadly cannot take it since I would need a trailer and a tow vehicle. The car is way too modified to ever be able to register it in Belgium, so I'll ship my (stock) M-Coupe and have to part with this.

Car is located in the Phoenix area, clean title, ready to go, with 2 fresh years of AZ emissions just done.

I am not saying this car is cosmetically great, and that was not my focus point building this. Everything was done to work well, and no corners where cut there. But to pick up chicks I would look elsewhere.

    1991 S52 318is

Color: Alpine White II, originally beige interior. ODO inoperative at 203k miles

    Engine and Drivetrain:

-stock S52 with approx 180k miles
    -M50 manifold
-E34 M5 clutch with UUC 8.5 lbs flywheel (less than 2k miles, or 5 trackdays)
-E36 M3 ZF gearbox, no 5th gear lean, no shifter bushing problems
    -Z3 1.9 short shifter
    -3.73 LSD
    -KaMotors 3” intake
    -Raceland headers
-3” exhaust with unknown cat and resonator and flo-pro exhaust
-Vibrant cat, ultra quiet resonator and muffler (all 3”) included, to be installed
-Mishimoto E36 radiator, new thermostat, late model 6cyl expansion tank
-Fuel supply: currently stock pump, have Bosch 044 and surge tank assembly that will bolt right in, wiring and everything is complete.
-Currently running stock S52 tune with EWS disabled (will throw CEL for rear O2 sensors, evap, secondary air pump)
-E36 328i ECU included, so you can send that out to get it flashed for the manifold and still drive the car.
    -No leaks

    Suspension and steering

-AST Sportline 2 suspension, true coilover in the rear
-springs are 686lbs/in (front) and 909lbs/in (rear) right now, the rear is the figure you would get with a spring in the stock location.
    -Spare AST softer front springs
    -Single adjustable dampers
    -AST camber plates
    -UUC 22mm sway bar (front)
    -Z3 rear sway bar
-Front sway bar links attach to the strut
-Less than 5k miles on new Lemfoerder control arms
-Treehouse Racing front control arm bushings
-1 year old AKG bushings for subframe (80A), differential (80A), rear trailing arms (75D)
    -rear AST shock/spring mounts.
-Z3 1.9 rack, PS delete, AKG steering coupler
    -Sparco Strut brace

    Wheels, Tires and Brakes

-set of 4 Compomotive TH2 17x8 et27 wheels, in gold (gold finish, not actual solid gold).
-15mm spacer up front (needed due to helper spring), 13mm spacer in rear
-Currently has 2 NT05s up front in 235/40/17 that are heat cycled out and do not have great grip
-Dunlop Star Specs on rear in 245/40/17, shaved to wear bar
-2 full thread Star Specs in 247/40/17 included
-Massive e30 300mmx32mm Race BBK up front
    -Stock e30 brakes rear
    -ATE blue fluid ran exclusively
-Hawk HT10 pads all around (these are not great for street use, need heat to work well)
    -SS brake lines all around
-e32 booster, non-functioning ABS (still in car)
    -Sweet centra spare wheel

    Interior, Exterior

-Evo9 Recaros on Castros Motorsports modified sliders
    -E30 M3 EVO3 steering wheel (suede)
    -ZHP shift knob
-Suede shifter boot and handbrake boot
    -Cracked dash
    -Beige/multicolor carpet
    -Black rear bench included
    -is lip, foglight blanks
    -euro grilles
    -Shadowline kidneys
-whole car is converted to shadowline (by PO)
-Paint needs attention (luckily there is no clear coat to peel), it is getting thin in places
    -euro bumper trim
-Diverse interior panels were shed by the car during track days and subsequently left off.
-extra cluster included, ODO does not work on that either

    Creature Comforts

    lol

As you can see, visually it's not perfect, but the parts make for one hell of a track machine. I am open to offers, no trades please.

      Hey tttoon,

Good luck with the sale man, I'm sure it will go quick. Seems like everyone in AZ are offloading their E30's...

Nice car!! Too bad its a 4cyl on papers, if it was a 6 there would be a chance of passing ct with it (i passed my 320it/m50 through tienen/tirlemont ct without much hassle).

Bump, now asking $8,750. If anybody is interested in the car without the current wheels (you bring wheels) we can definitely discuss that.

I know the guy that did all the work on this car, as you see it today. It's solid, buy with confidence!

Bump. Some interest, but please realise I'm pretty much asking the cost of the engine, suspension and brake kit, not counting labor, not counting the other tedious tasks completed (bushings, steering rack,...), and not counting the car itself.
