FS: 89 325i Clean Bronzit with low miles, Euroweaves, LSD, etc. (SoCal)

UPDATE: Steering fluid leak fixed; new fuel filter and fuel lines; new brake sensor.
CORRECTION: very minor oil leak from valve cover, not the head gasket as my original post indicated

1989 325i, clean bronzit sedan with low miles, EuroWeaves, LSD., etc. Selling because I’m moving abroad for a while.

136k on the odometer which broke in November. Best and somewhat pessimistic estimate: the car has 142k on it.

The car was serviced at the Two Nice Guys automotive when they were in La Crescenta, CA since I bought it (Matt, MR325, and Armen drove it a few times if you need another opinion). I did the oil changes myself every 2-3k miles. A lot has been done, and by TNG, and I don’t think I’ll get to all; but, I will try to list the most important goods/bads below.

The car had 109k when I bought it in May 2008 from the bay area. The timing belt was replaced right away. The transmission was shod when I got it. TNG replaced it with an early model (88 iirc) one. It’s been working just fine since then.

It’s been my daily driver since I got it. Only left me on the road once (clutch master cylinder failed). No other issues.

    Bads:
Very small leak from the valve cover. It’s slow enough that the oil light comes on only after 5-6 months of daily driving if not replenished.

    A/C completely depleted.

The paint job on the roof and the trunk is so-so with clear-coat missing over decent portions of the roof.

Right rear fender is pushed in some (very hard to see if you look at it head on, see pictures below). It was like that when I got it and I was told that it’s not a straightforward fix, so I never got it pulled out. It doesn’t bother me much except sometimes tire rubs against the fender if more than 2 people are in the car and I ride a bump too fast. The paint was damaged right where the door and the fender meet. I sanded it and put primer on it.

    One fog light is missing.

I got rear-ended 3-4 months ago at slow speed. Rear bumper impact strip is damaged some. All else is okay

Brake master cylinder is nearing its lifetime. Pedal softens up and needs pumping sometimes. Flushed the lines, etc. which only helped a little

    Goods:
    Low miles, solid drive

Very well maintained, most of the minor E30 issues fixed

Clean title at hand, registration good through 2013 Nov. Never had any issues with smog, passes with ample margin

Body straight for the most part with no major scratches (see above for the fender issue)

    No rust whatsoever

LSD (3.1 was it? Bought it off of another member, installed at TNG)

Clutch and clutch master cylinder replaced 15k-20k ago

Brake pads and rotors changed around the same time frame as clutch

Various hoses, engine mounts, etc., replaced as part of maintenance at TNG

    17lb injectors

    Euro-weaves in pretty good shape

I spent a lot of time cleaning up the inside, installed original radio that works (screen light dim though), there was lot of stupid wiring from the previous owner which I cleaned up

odometer SI board battery replaced ~3 years ago

Car runs a bit on the cool-side (verified by TNG). Must be the thermostat installed by the previous owner

All electronics work (one window switch may need replacing but the motors are fine)

    Short shifter

I installed black door cards as I intended to replace the seats with black ones. Never had the time/money to do the latter. Will sell the car with the old door cards

No tears, rips, etc. on the seats

    A spare BF Goodrich tire

Tires have good thread still, especially the fronts which I replaced 10-15k miles ago

    eurogrills

I think that’s all for now. I’ll update as I remember stuff. The history of the car prior to my purchase is somewhat mirky. It does look like it had an impact on the driver door as it looks like it was replaced.

I tried to be as honest as possible. Not in a hurry to sell at the moment. Let’s start the discussion at $3500.

The car is in Pasadena, CA. Let me know if you have any questions.
