Have'nt done the jack test but had the pleasure of driving it in the snow and also did some spirited gravel road testing. Seems to work fine.

forgive my ignorance but you got me curious what is the jack test? Also, what's the extent of the rust. You mention salt and grime, is there rust under the car or in addition to what's on the door?

The jack test is where you put the rear wheels up in the air on a jack with wheels and let the front wheels pull the car around to see if the viscous coupling is working right in the transfer case. If it doesn't move much your VC is toast. I've floored this thing in the snow and it didn't swap ends so I think the jack test is kinda moot here but ill probably do it anyway if its going to make or break a sale.

The car was in PA for a while so its kinda crusty underneath, not heavily rusted or anything just a little crusty.
