    VA- 89 325i 2 door $1200

Up for sale is a 1989 2 door E30. It is an automatic with approximately 130k on the clock. Exterior is black, interior is pearl beige with leather sport front seats. It will be available in roughly one month. My wife will be driving it until she’s ready to hop back into her manual (ACL replacement surgery.)

Have you ever wanted to own a car up to the quality standards of a Lemons car? To drive something that could easily appear on a race track anywhere in the country without the hassle of having to deal with a cage or paying less than $500? Well you’re in luck. As you can see from the pictures, this is indeed a car. It includes such features as wheels, seats, and an engine. It also has such rare features as:
    Partially adjustable driver’s seat
Completely secure passenger door that cannot be opened by thieves, even with a key
Radio antenna delete with trunk breather hole
    Fog light delete
    Random trim piece delete
    Straight body panel delete
    Starter interlock relay delete
    Working dome light delete
Driver and passenger floor panel ventilation
    Some floor mats, in black
Digital clock that acts as a light, but not effectively as a clock
Some sort of large rubber device glued to the trunk lid to help keep it from popping up on its own
Odometer that appears to stop time
    Tool-free trunk
    Vintage 2007 timing belt
    Plus many more things.

Now you’re probably saying to yourself, “self, do I deserve such a vehicle?” The answer is an emphatic yes! Remember that time you broke your mom’s vase and blamed it on the dog? That girl you never called back even though you said you would? That deduction you took on your taxes for the child you don’t even have? You need this car. You’ve earned this car. For the paltry sum of $1200 you, yes you, can have this car!

I will deliver this to Vintage with deposit.

Work done since purchase: new Meyle HD ball joints, used replacement rear muffler, removed problematic aftermarket alarm wiring, fixed headlight adjusters.

Comes on Eibachs over Konis.PO thought the car needed front shocks, but turns out the outer ball joints were worn almost more than any I had ever seen.

Had shitty wheel locks, since replaced with proper lugs.

Tint is actually a pretty good job.

I will be fixing the passenger door lock.

Car has a persistent 70mA drain. I suspect the cluster but have not yet investigated.

Trans pan gasket leaks. I can service the trans with a new filter and fresh fluid (+$250.)

Head gasket appears to leak oil from the oil drains. I can replace the head gasket and timing belt for additional cost. (+$400.) or I can just replace the timing belt (+$150.)

Odometer gears broken, I will replace them when I investigate the battery drain, included in price.

    Good M-tech 1 wheel.

    D
river’s seat needs mechanical work and one lever is missing. I am working on getting parts for it. Bolsters have been repaired with vinyl.

    Dash is crack free.

Battery works but is not proper for the car. I will not be replacing it, but I will make sure it is fastened down properly.

Comes with Depo smoked front indicators.

    Good ellipsoids.

I can cut patch panels from an E30 parts car I have for the floor pan jack point rust for a small fee.

I will attempt to service the AC using proper equipment. It appears to work but seems low on refrigerant. If it works, no additional cost. If not, too bad.

    Open diff

This is not a physically nice car, but it could be a good DD, toy, future drifter or autox car with some work.

At least it has gotten ball joints and the ATF topped up since you drove it. That thing was a tad hairy to drive 120 miles after I bought it. It was slow as hell too since the kickdown cable was pretty far out of adjustment. I also had to fix the throttle adjustment.

I'd buy it if it were in PNW. Such is life.

Its sad this is somewhat tempting, to have as a parts car. Only an e30 only on r3v
I love that people ask stupid questions so I dont have.

I was considering parting it out, but I would rather have the garage space to start working on wifey's 2002. You are welcome to come look at it any time. My wife drives it to work every day right now (BMW of C'ville.) Cash is king. I could even toss in some other E30 bits I have taking up space, like some shadowline trim pieces that I won't ship.
