What you mentioned makes sense. I haven't noticed any wetness there though. I never tested it out with my hand, but I think I would feel it on the bottom of my shoe while driving (foot slipping off pedal due to wetness) although it might be happening behind the dead pedal material. I'll be sure to check and update. If you're local come check it out one day. I'm going to try and make it to Gfest tomorrow morning for a few hours.
Edit: Not making it down to gfest today. I looked at that spot behind the fender and I honestly don't think any rain is making it into the carpet. I can fit maybe one or two fingers in the hole and I feel a thick sponge type material. (think tempurpedic) If the bottom of the car was submerged in water then yeah... I think you'll get water on the carpet, but I'm not sure that would be your biggest problem in that situation.Last edited by papag1234; 05-18-2013, 01:07 PM.

Thanks ThatOneGuy97 and thanks to everyone else for all the interest that I've received on the car. I found myself avoiding the forum and potential buyers and I realized that I don't want to get rid of it. I've decided to keep it and just continue to drive & fix it. I waited over a year to find a decent e30. Sorry if I disappointed anyone truly interested.
