    WTB: E30 California. Cash

The recent death of my 325i has turned me from a lurker on these boards to an active member. So first of all I would like to thank you all for the insight I have gleaned from this forum.

I am looking to buy an E30, and have cash in hand. Here is kind I am looking for.

    - E30 (1988+ preferred, but if its nice willing to go older)
    - 5 Speed, please no Automatics
    - No verts please (unless it has a hardtop ..lol), want to switch it up since my last was a vert.
    - Color and paint condition does not matter ( don't mind if i need to respray)
    - Clean body free of major dents or dings please
    - Clean title
    - less then 200k ( flexible on this).
    - No major mechanical issues.
    - MUST BE ABLE TO PASS SMOG!
    - No broken Odometers please, its ok if it has broken in the past and was repaired relatively quickly
    - Maintenance documentation a BIG PLUS!
    - decent interior please, cracked dashes are fine, destroyed seats..non working windows etc. are not.
    - Would prefer to stay away from eta's, unless it is beyond nice.

I am located in Norcal, but I am more then willing to travel anywhere in the state for a nice E30.

My budget is 5-6.5k cash, possibly able to go a little higher.

Thanks for your time guys, lets see some BMW's!

        Pm's replied.

Beautiful car Blauplow, but a little out of my price range, i am jealous though.

Mr2peak, North Bay! What part of Marin do you hail from?

If you haven't found one yet, I got something that somewhat fits the description.

          1988 Bmw 325
          Clean Title
          171k miles
          5speed
          2.93LSD
Dark grey exterior (some scratches and dings, No major body work needed)
Black vinyl interior (good condition except for cracks in dash)
Pretty much stock except for radio and aftermarket alarm.
          Good Tires.
Runs and drives really good, No doubt about passing smog.
Anti-lock light and washer fluid light are on (no clue why)
          Stack of receipts.
          Very well taken care of...
          Asking $3300
If interested I will post pix.

yea, the miles are high but it's been a driver of mine and with no problems. happy hunting.
