    BMW 1989 325i sedan 133k mi.

BMW 1989 325i sedan 133k mi. manual trans

    $4900 OBO, Jersey city, NJ

Runs great and much of the mechanics have been replaced (I have receipts for all). Has the later more desirable m20b25 engine. Suspension is compliant with Spec E30 race class if you want to compete but I just wanted a solid suspension on the street- it's not too rough though. I've tried to show a clear pic of every defect. Family circumstances force me to sell. PM me if you're interested.

    New parts as follows:
    · Momo steering wheel, Shift knob and boot
    · Wheels and fresh Khumo tires (15x7 et25- which is M3 sizing), BMW center caps, converted from lug bolts to studs
    · Interior is fantastic for a car from the 80’s. All seats are perfect. The dashboard has a crack in it (big surprise). sunroof crank works perfectly
    · H&R springs and bilstein sport shocks, UUC bigger sway bar, ground control camber plates., Poly control arms and bushings in front and back all over. new front control arms, z3 new rack
    · New clutch (Clutchmasters 03010-HD00 FX100 Stage 1), rear main seal, Standard Transmission Shift Linkage Seal, Throw-out Bearing Release Arm Pivot Pin, Clutch Slave Cylinder, Ultimate Stainless Steel Clutch Line – UUC, Throw-Out Bearing Release Arm, Flywheel Bolts, Pressure Plate Bolts, Throw-Out Bearing, Rebuild shift linkage, guibo flex disc, E36 motor mounts with constraining cups, and trans rear end bushings
    · e36 business radio with working CD and ipod input
    · AC converted to r134a and charged: new ac compressor, new parallel flow condenser, new expansion valve, new combination hi/lo pressure switch from e36, new dryer receiver, new o rings, new evaporator, new 2400 CFM electric fan
    · Miller ECU: 2.5L_(173_ECU) and mass air flow sensor
    · Power steering updated to Z3 new rack
    · Cirrusblau metallic- must’ve been repainted at some point because it looks like the top layer of paint is peeling off in some areas revealing another layer of cirrusblau underneath. Almost no rust anywhere (small spot of surface rust under license plate). Otherwise just small rock chips.
    · Replaced head gasket, head bolts: compression test on all cylinders #1:185 #2:191 #3:193 #4:197 #5:190 #6:190
    · Timing belt, water pump
    · fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator
    · spark plug wires, cap and rotor, oil, filter, air filter etc.
    · idle control valve, throttle position sensor, oxygen sensor, crank position sensor
    · Radiator - Standard Transmission, all radiator and coolant hoses replaced, replaced thermostat housing
    · Stainless steel brake lines, replaced parking shoes
    · Odometer gears, gauge lamps, gauge rechargeable batteries
    · Full size bottlecap spare wheel/tire

Price reduced to 4900. In NJ. motivated seller. PM me. Next step is Craigslist which doesn't sound like much fun to deal with the horde of scammers and tire kickers.

Looks like a pretty tidy car other than needing a little bodywork. GLWS

Yeah, I was going to get into paint but I wanted to sort it mechanically first. And to tell you the truth it's kind of grown on me. The nice part is that it's a pretty easy paint job especially easy if you stick with CirrusBlau. The door jams etc. look good and there's still a good layer of paint everywhere. Should be a relatively straightforward prep and paint.
