PRICE UPDATED!
1983 BMW 320i
5 speed manual transmission
Alpine White
185,800 Miles
CD Player
Just got married, did the honeymoon, and the wife is going to law school- time to sell a few things.
I bought this car only 4 or so months ago from an older gentlemen, locally, who put 6,000 miles on it in 10 years. Needless to say, it needed a tune up- but the interior and exterior felt like a time machine.
No rust. No knocks. No funny business.
I put quite a few bucks into her getting her into tip top shape.
- Brand New OEM Oil pan + gasket (took 2 months to come from Germany)
- Bavarian Auto Recycling 3.64 differential (original had a horrible whine to it)
- Internal/In-Gas Fuel Pump (the entire thing) ($$)
- External Fuel Pump ($$)
- Valve Cover Gasket + Valve Adjustment
- Auxiliary Air Valve
- Vacuum Hoses
- Distributer Cap
- Spark Plugs
- Oil Cap
- Gas Cap Gasket
- Radiator Cap
- Transmission + Differential Fluid + Standard Oil Change
- Low Beam Light
- Brand new 180/70-13 tires!
It shifts well with great feedback and no sloppiness. Clutch grabs just fine and feels like it has plenty of life left in it. Suspension and brakes feel great as well, definitely still stock, and you get that awesome 80's-lean when turning into a corner but the shocks do not feel blown. No knocking from bushings. No rust underneath.
I made a huge Pelican Parts order which included the bulk of what you see above, and a few things that haven't been installed yet. I could include these for a separate price, or it will be 5,000 for everything.
Here's what I have on standby:
- Full Brake Replacement (Front Pads/Rotors, Rear Drums, Shoes, Pads, 3 cans of Brake Fluid + Caliber Rebuild kit)
- Water Pump
- Thermostat
- Temp Sensor
- Low Beam
- Rubber Intake Boot
- Air Filter
- Radiator Hoses
- Water Wetter
- Front + Rear Roundels with grommets
- Fuel Pump Relay
Again, I really planned on doing more, but we could use the funds now.
This car is a steal at 5,000 as you can get in it, drive, and enjoy the heck out of 30mpg and an easy smog. The previous owner smogged it once a year and it always passed.
I've barely put 150 miles on the car, if that, that's how seldom I've driven it. I commute by motorcycle everyday and it took a while for me to find the time and get all these stuff installed. The trunk is fantastic and there is no rust around the gas area. Speaking of which, the engine bay looks good too, for an '83.
Odometer works, trip works, gas gauge works, speedometer works, tachometer works, lights work.
Stop by, check it out, take it for a drive, buy it.
Clean Title in hand.
I've been in the BMW world for a while and am an active member on many of the forums, no need to tell me what you found an E30 for the other day, because I already know the E30's odometer doesn't work. This car will run and do exactly as it's told.
Small knick knacks:
- AC doesn't work, if you click it on it blows the blower-motor fuse. (Blower motor does work!)
- Fog Lights (might need new bulbs or a new relay)
That's it.
Reasonable offers are fine, and a reasonable offer to include the remaining parts I have left is even better.
