    FS: e30 w. S52 Swap 6,000 obo

    Hello,

I am moving and need to sell my recently swapped e30. I will be losing several thousands of dollars on this project, so my loss is your gain.

This car is the ultimate sleeper.

    Pros-

    Wicked fast car
swap done by Sharky at JG Teknik less than 5,000 miles ago.
Donor car and parts came from Turboey at Munich Motorsports.
engine, drivetrain, transmission all from 100K mile 1997 M3.
    Steering rack from M roadster
    HR suspension
    Bilstein Shocks
    short shifter
    custom exhaust
    new bahre triple core radiator
    new slim line fan
    2.79 LSD
I have a spare crack free dashboard in pristine condition.
    Sport seats in pearl beige
    both windows and sunroof work
    no check engine lights
more parts and upgrades that I don't even know of and can't prove with documentation.

    Cons-

Body has rust, frame is solid though, it's a 27 year old New England car that seen everyone of those winters
    interior is rough
    so is paint
one wiper works but must be controlled by fuse (have new linkage to replace, need stalk replaced)

Here's the deal, I don't even know where to begin with rattling off technical specifics. So I'm just not going to. I am not an expert in BMW's I am a passionate amateur. I love this car, but I am moving away and just can't take it with me. I need the car sold by 9/15 so make me an offer if your interested. All I can say is no.
Car is fast and handles amazing, it's proper and super reliable, it is my only car and my daily driver.

I enjoy it very much and hopefully it's new owner will as well. Would make a great track car.

    Thanks,

    Jonny

not a bad deal for the $ : performance ratio. too much rust though, is that even fixable at this point, or would it just be easier to swap the internals into a clean shell?
also - nice swap in the engine bay... very clean

                Hi Massih,

Thanks for your thoughts on the car. In my opinion the rust is fixable by replacing the front two fenders and welding a piece onto the bottom of the car where it needs it, followed by bondo, sanding and then repainting the entire car. Again, it really depends on what your personal vision and desire is for the car. I have driven this car for over 2 years now with the same amount of rust and it hasn't bothered me one bit.

If you want a sleeper it's awesome for that. If you want a glossy show car, not so much.

In my opinion the rust is way less effort than swapping the entire engine, transmission, suspension, etc, WAY less work. Also this a coupe with a sunroof, in my opinion very desirable. Those are getting tougher to find, also since it is older than 25 years in CT, it's an antique and you don't need inspection, emissions, or anything. I pay 11 bucks in taxes on this car man. Pros / cons in everything in life, no such thing as perfect.

                            Hey everyone,

Thanks for your continued interest in the car. Just to nip this in the bud, since I am moving I do not have the time or interest in parting out the car. I would however encourage you to buy the entire car and part out what you don't want to keep.

There are some valuable parts in here...

                            Thanks!
