Looking to trade my 1977 Honda CB750k for an E30 coupe.
Really looking for one with an engine swap but would be alright with a clean well maintained m20 car. For that matter I am interested in anything fast and unique.
Now about the bike.
I have owned the bike for a little over 2 years now and have gone through and replaced/rebuilt almost everything. The joke within my friends is there isnt a nut/bolt that I havent touched.
Engine was fully built this winter and has all new gaskets and hardware. Less than 1K mi since rebuilt and has been broken in and tuned properly.
Miles: 19,XXX
Located outside of Detroit, MI
Engine - Bottom End: - All work done by Cycle-X in Hazelhurst, WI
836cc Wiseco big bore kit. 10.5:1 CR
Shot peened and balanced stock rods with upgraded HD rod bolts.
Balanced and polished Crankshaft
Lightened and balanced alternator
HD head studs w/ MLS gaskets
Dyna 3ohm coils
Dyna electronic ignition
Earls Oil Cooler w/ AN-8 fittings and SS braided lines
Engine - Top End - All work done by J. Rieck out of Ashland, MA (for those who know he is the #1 headwork specialist for these bikes.)
Stage 2.5 ported head
Serdi Valve Job
Intake seats bored
HD Kibblewhite Springs
Stainless Valves over-sized 33.5mm intake/28mm exhaust
Titanium Retainers - Kibblewhite
DP-295 cam - Lots of power and very streetable
Carbs have been rebuilt, tuned, and balanced. Runs great!
K&N individual air filters
Suspension/brakes/wheels
520 chain conversion
New reservoir rear shocks.
Powdercoated wheels
1 year old Shinko tires ~1500 mi
Rebuilt and upgraded and powdercoated dual piston calipers w/ new ebc pads - honda oem
Drilled rotors - upgraded dual disc
Rearsets w/custom brackets and linkage
New master cylinder
New clutch cable and springs
Cafe style powdercoated bars.
Carpys hump seat professionally painted. (seat was handmade by me and should probably be redone by a professional.)
The bad
Tank could use some tlc. Paint is a 6/10 with small chips and a few tiny dings.
Front forks are alright, but could benefit from a rebuild.
This bike has been done right. Very fast and fun. Reliability was my top priority while building and has yet to leave me stranded.
Value would be some where in the 4k-6k range for trade sake.
For those interested I have lots more photos and info
(the bike gets Alot more attention than even my friends 848 pictured)
