FS: 1983 320i sport, amazing condition, the nicest I"ve found...EVER!

I am offering up a very special 1983 320i "Sport" package that is a one owner car and lived it's entire life in Florida until I recently brought it up north. This is a limited production e21 that not only has the Sport package with Recaro seats, sport wheel, limited slip differential, and more, but also came in Alpine white with color matching alloy wheels. This car was purchased new by an enthusiast and garaged every day of it's life and it clearly shows! It was maintained by BMW every step along the way and was always up to date on it's service intervals.

The paint shines beautifully and shows very little wear, the car is virtually rust free and underneath is immaculate! The interior is the nicest you can find. The seats are all perfect and soft and there is no cracking or stiff material like you'd expect to find in most e21's. The headliner is near perfect, I've never seen a car of this age with an original headliner this beautiful! Everything works great, all lights, electronics, heat, A/C, radio etc. and all the glass is perfect also.

    New items include:
    -All new Bilstein sport struts
    -New tires all around
-New A/C compressor/ evaporator and lines (works GREAT!)
    -New Radiator and fan
    -Newer brake Master cylinder
    -Newer Clutch Master cylinder
    -Newer brakes
-New Pioneer headunit with CD/usb/aux/etc. and remote
    -New oem hazard switch
    -New fuel pump

I personally drove this car from Florida back north to New Jersey in two days and there wasn't a single issue along the way. Although the odometer reads 239k miles, this car starts, idles, runs, drives, shifts, and stops amazingly! You would never know it had more than 30 miles, this is the finest example of a well maintained BMW. A brand new Weber 32/36 carb was installed to avoid the customarily temperamental fuel injection issues in these cars (all fuel injection items are included with the sale.)

The only negatives that I've found over the entire vehicle are that the shifter bushings could use re-freshening in the near future and the fuel overflow will leak if the tanks are overfilled. To remedy this without fixing it I simply fill $40 of premium in when the gauge reads 1/4 tank remaining. That way you know not to overfill the tanks.

I am a BMWCCA member, enthusiast and restorer of BMW's and this car is wonderful, a true collectible! I have owned over a dozen e21's personally and this is by far the nicest original I've ever come across.

Lowered price, $4,600. Firm. This is my bottom dollar price and the car is well worth much more

    Thanks!

Very nice example of a well kept e21, as a previous owner of USDM e21s and current owner of a euro e21, It makes me wonder what the hell were they thinking when they decided to put the diving boards on there. I like the replacement of the fuel injection with the 32/36 it's a great carb for a daily driver. Good luck with your sale.

      One question.

Why are e21s an after though when it comes to say an e30 or a 2002?
      They look like decent cars.

Too expensive for the miles. There are a few 323i Euro cars with less mileage for less in the legion right now.

Agreed, but after a little tuck, they're not so bad!

I don't know but I've always preferred driving an e21, despite my love for the other chassis'.

And it's priced a bit low despite its impeccable condition, I've owned, sold, restored, driven, and even inspected for buyers over a hundred e21's, and once you see a car like this which most enthusiasts (even in the Legion) never will, then you'll understand.

Please keep comments about price off the thread. It is what it is for a reason.

Very nice example of an E21. Its my theory that the E21 will descretly keep climing in price as so many have been scrapped over the years. BUMP

I agree completely with you. It's so unfortunate but many are rusted out beyond repair, and I try to save every car I can! I have in my lot the only euro 315 that I've ever found in the US and it's going to take months of bodywork to bring it back to the road!
