FEELER: 1989 325i coupe. Albany, NY

Putting this out there to gauge interest, don't need to sell it or necessarily want to but if I get the right offer I will. For sale is an excellently maintained, excellent condition 1989 BMW 325i coupe. Cinnabarot red, black vinyl interior with grey carpet. 128,xxx miles I believe, 5-speed, all electronics work, mechanically sound. Interior 9/10, exterior 8/10. Very minimal rust confined to rear valence only, easily repaired. Paint is in great shape, fading slightly on roof and top of rear bumper, would look good as new with a professional buffing/detailing. No dents, very minimal scratches if any. Interior is impressively clean, black vinyl seats appear as though no one ever sat in them; no rips or tears in the carpeting, dash is excellent, all lighting works. Here is a list of all parts I can think of off the top of my head that I have installed, have completely records for everything I've done since I bought it as well:

Mtech 1 steering wheel (have original wheel as well)
    M shift knob
    M shift/ebrake boots
    M floormats
    M valvestem caps
K&N cone filter airbox delete (have original airbox assembly as well)
    Eibach springs all around
    K&N shocks/struts all around
New front e36 M3 control arm bushings
    New front control arms
New front and rear swaybar links
    Front and rear strut bars
Crossdrilled front rotors and Greenstuff pads
    Brembo solid rear rotors
Two sets of wheels (original bottlecaps with excellent tires, black rims with Hankooks currently on vehicle)
    Yellow fog lights
Blacked out kidneys and 325i logo
Black BMW roundels front, rear and steering wheel

You will not find an e30 within several hundred miles of here in this condition other than an M3. If seriously interested I will send pics, please call or text 518-253-2676. Asking $7500 obo.

What's the history on the clutch and timing belt?

I'll give you a call tomorrow, don't want to blow up your phone too late in the evening.

Not sure on either, clutch feels fantastic grabs incredibly well car is almost impossible to stall so im assuming it was either babied or replaced before I bought the car. I'll wait for your call tomorrow.

Gotcha. So it definitely needs a timing belt.

A few quick questions. You had a previous FS ad up:

In that thread you mentioned rust on the trunk lid. At this point you said the only rust is on the rear valance. Was the trunk replaced or repaired?

Also, I saw that you had some electrical issues and issues with hesitations and vac leaks. Has that stuff been resolved?

Nice looking car. Looks to be in good shape overall. This is exactly what i've been looking for. I have a red E36 and a red E46. Completing the trifecta would be nice.

Haven't done any bodywork, if I mentioned there was rust on the trunk lid before it must be very minimal I haven't noticed, to be honest I don't even remember listing the car for sale before haha. No electrical issues, resolved the only one I can remember, brake bulb, and the hesitation disappeared after a tune up. Feel free to give me a call tomorrow, have some other people interested.
