The needle actually rides slightly to the left (cold side) when you look at it from straight on.Comment

Very fair price considering all of that engine work. Good luck with the sale!Comment

"A parallax occurs when you perceive different information depending on the angle from which you view a dial, gauge, or image. There is one correct way to view that gauge, and any other viewpoint will give an incorrect reading."
If you're to the left of an analog gauge, it will appear as if the needle of the gauge is more to the right (overheating).
If you're to the right of an analog gauge, it will appear as if the needle of the gauge is more to the left (running cold).
Don't believe me? step into an airplane with dual analog instruments and have a seat in the left seat. Then look at the instruments in front of the right seat and then compare them to the instruments in front of you.
If anyone else is truly naive enough to think that the car is overheating, I will gladly take a video to prove to you how stupid you are.Comment

You are 100 percent correct!
The picture of your dash is taken from the (right side) passenger side (not outside the driver side window), so therefore, considering parallax, the needle should 'appear' WAY over towards the left. Yours is pointed towards the right.
You have a nice car, and I believe you that it's not overheating, but your explanation of why the temp gauge is pointing towards the right is not explained by parallax.

Glad we at least agree on something though.
I've updated the picture with a more recent one.Last edited by Roland H; 01-02-2014, 11:26 PM.Comment

Nice car, Parallax and everything :) I still do not understand why some people look at ads just to thrash it, specially since you were kind enough to respond to a half-ass comment.
