If you had a reputable partner here in the states this is something I would be interested in. I can't dedicate the time needed to fulfill the duties required to complete the transaction, shipping, and receipt of a car. On top of all that I'm in CA, so I have CARB to deal with. All that said, if a clean AW touring could be delivered locally I would be all over it for under $10k. I will watch this thread and see how it progresses.

I assume it would be cheaper to have the car delivered to the US East Coast? I do not know if the shipping costs go off the roof from Germany to the West Coast...
      1997 328i - SOLD
      1991 325is - SOLD
      2002 325i - SOLD :(

I've been waiting a few weeks for the right 325is to come up for sale. I barely missed a local e30 Touring not too long ago (which is the only e30 I'd buy right now, besides an is). I sold my e46 2 weeks ago, so I'll be watching this thread. I need one with three pedals, that's really my only request; besides minimal rust, that is. Color doesn't matter as long as it's not Bronzit. Keep us updated and PM me if you're super serious about this. However, I won't stop looking for a 325is so let me know.

I just brought out over.... It's not all that complicated.

            My car...m30 swapped as well

swapped to snow tires for the drive home.

            Has mtech2 cloth as well.

So far I dig it and have big plans for it.

Sweet deal that you are willing to help others bring them over.

How much did you pay in duties?

All the import fees were included in the shipping cost. which was around $2k. The actual duty that I paid on top of the 2k was $87.

I personally don't have the time to go through all of the stuff to import a car, but absolutely I would be interested in buying one.

the west coast is about 2700 USD so not a big difference
