I am in Houston and would be very interested as well in manual touring.

I emailed you. If you could update this thread with links to some of the cars you've been looking at and some examples of transactions, I know we would all appreciate it.

This is too tempting to not jump on.

Man I want to do this, I might be contacting you soon! What is the estimated time of arrival once the car leaves Germany?

Things are going coming together with a few buyers. As soon as I finish one I will take pictures and try to document the entire process.

I'm sorry I haven't updated this thread, I've been exchanging emails with everyone.
The main problems are to find minimal rust (which can be done) and to find cars that are legal to import, they made them all the way to 93 from 88. So pickings can get slim.

Please keep us updated when one of these transactions go through completely. Once I see one done nicely, I'll start buying these cars!

a small update, I sold mine to a fello in NY,
it will be shipped out in roughly a month to give time so it will pass the 25 year mark.
I'm sorry I haven't updated this lately, uncle sam gave me a few 12 hour shifts and shift changes.
It's starting to cool down a little so I will be on the hunt again

Congrats on the sale! If you find a nice stick shift with air conditioning I'm VERY seriously interested. Color is not a big deal but white would be a huge plus while red or black are my least favorites.

I'm interested in a touring, manual trans, sport, any color except red. I have family on the east coast that would pick up.

Out of interest, do you know if there are any RHD tourings around? And whether they could be shipped to Australia?
