I originally bought the car March of 2005, from my brother (a BMW enthusiast and mechanic). It was stock with 14" BBS Weaves and iS rear spoiler and had ~103K on it at the time and had a blown engine. My brother bought an low mileage engine in Oklahoma and went through the whole motor replacing all necessary seals, gaskets etc. Sourced the Euroweaves from Ebay.de.
For the past 13 years it has been driven daily and some very long road trips. The interior is nice for tan; however, I had always planned on black. The sport seats were professionally done by Don's Auto Upholstery in Memphis with premium vinyl and tweed inserts (~ $1,000) The rear seat is the original tan vinyl with no rips, tears or stains. The dash is the only area I wanted to change.
Most of the receipts for repairs and parts are available; however, I had a house fire and lost some documentation.
The car was rear-ended in 2011 and both front and rear bumpers were replaced with NEW OEM by a body shop here in Memphis. Title is clean and clear.
The only other mishap was a collision with a tire retread on the intersate. This incident ripped off the iS Lip and brake duct. The most recent damage was caused by a concrete pole (which was moving pretty fast) on Feb. 10th. The main damage was the rear plastic bumper and trim, left tail lamp and left quarter panel. It has not been repaired. Estimate of damage is ~ $1,800.

I have driven this daily since 2005 and it is the best BMW I have ever owned. Very practical M42 and reliable! The custom exhaust has a very mellow tone that is not too loud-but very distinct. This car is not perfect by any means, but is a car you can depend on for daily use and has personality. All parts are BMW and many were sourced through E30Zone.net, German Ebay, Gutenparts and Bluntech. Maintainence has been done by me and my brother. The radioator, driveshaft were done professionally by ALPINE Autoworks in Memphis. The damage from the accident was estimated ~ $1,800 with LKQ Parts,Labor and Paint. I have some feelers out there for the Rear Bumper and trim ($200 Shipped from several members on R3v).
I think it is time to look for a more practical DD and want this car to go to an E30 enthusiast. It's not a concours quality E 30, but would be a special car for someone. I love to look at this car and driving it is something I look forward to every morning and it always gets compliments! I have always tried to treat this car like it is 20 +years old and never rag it out. I am in Memphis, Tennessee and continue to drive it in the current condition. Title in hand. ASKING $2,600 OBO
