    FS(WA): 91 318i 5 speed project/beater

Picked up a new car and I need to free up some space

Runs and drives fine, has been my daily for 6 months or so and is perfectly drivable, but does have some things that need attention. Odometer stopped at 195k miles, brake pedal is spongy, there is a vacuum leak that's causing the idle to fluctuate, and there is a ticking in the engine(my guess is chain guides but I'm not sure, could just be a noisy lifter), also obviously the paint is shot. Clutch and transmission in good shape, no accidents, clean title. Would make a good base for a race car or project, it's actually pretty clean and easy to work on mechanically, the paint just looks like butt. I bought it to build a rally car out of but decided I'd rather spend the money on my M3. Interior is in pretty good shape overall, save for some bad cracks in the dash and some lean in the driver seat(not sure if it's fixable or not but do you really want comfort seats anyway?). No rust! A tiny bit on the front of the driver side fender in that dent you can see in the pic but that's really it.

    Asking $2k OBO

Best way to get a hold of me is through email, but I'll try to keep track of this post too, crferb@gmail.com

Somebody buy this thing! I have too many cars and they're starting to overflow in front of the neighbors house. I know I probably didn't make it sound too appealing but I assure you this would make a great starting point for a race car.

Just changed the oil and spark plugs this morning. Also I've determined the sound is not coming from the timing chain, meaning it's probably either a lifter or a valve and not the guides.

AC works! If you're into that kind of thing.
