    1991 Alpine 318is

I have a 1991 318is with a blown motor and an e36 m42 waiting to go in. Autocheck when purchased shows "Minor Accident or Vehicle Damage Reported: Rear End Center" - cosmetically sound with the exception of a scrape on the passenger door. The car drove straight, only reason it's not running (and I'm selling) is because of the situation I'm in.

The car has brand new tie rods and relatively new bushings, new tires, new control arms in box (and other parts), power all works (crank roof), premium sound with factory radio, battery cover, majority of tools, fresh shifter etc. Passenger carpet has some water staining that I intend to clean as I'm going to get the car spotless before selling (unless you just don't care, lol). I'm in a situation where I need some cash to help my father and this is basically my only option. The "new" m42 was pulled out of an e36 running and that was replaced with an m52, so this is on a stand.

Don't currently have pictures as I just got home and it's dark and the pictures from when I purchased it before aren't all that pretty, lol.

I would like to get $2,500 as the only thing this car needs is to have the e36 m42 swapped in and the driver's motor mount arm due to getting cracked when the rod blew out the motor; oil pan is good.

I will sell it as is, otherwise I'll have to get everything swapped and then will sell it for more since the labor is done.

Please feel free to contact and make offers.

Would be perfect for m/s50/2 swap as it's a 91 with the ecu cable covers, I have e34 oil pan and m50 manifold for someone looking to do that swap but that would probably add a little to the tab.

I'll try to get some pictures today - but I leave when it's dark and get home when it's dark and hate to be the guy that posts dark pictures. z6ne - just threw a rod, not sure; took the rat's next intake coolant stuff off, replaced all the intake gaskets, got that new o2 sensor and it was running like a top. I was going up 85, everything going great and then boom... big puff of smoke, some oil and A LOT of tatatatatata (thanks helalo).
Shadyhaze13 - I'd rather sell with everything as I have no use for the m42 without the e30; the next one I get will be getting an m/s52 so it'll be pointless. Besides, it fits what's needed to ensure my dad's ok, lol.
Suspension is good and clutch is tight, hate more than anything to get rid of it but this is the only thing I can do to get some cash to him. Only "unsightly" thing about the car are the front seats have a good bit of wear, the water stains on the carpet and the cracked dash (not too intense) - I'm going to clean the carpet, can't do anything about the seats or dash.
          Shadowline is perfect

This is the water staining that will be cleaned.

All tires are good; there is a glove box and the two keys work all doors, trunk and glovebox, locking system works, there's a factory alarm velcroed to the glove box, but I don't have any idea whether it works because I never got a remote. The nardi wheel is not going with the car unless someone can convince me otherwise and the lion-o is definitely not going with it, lol; a perfect airbag wheel is going back in. The two front seats have wear (my buddy didn't get those pictures) mainly just the left bolster on the driver's seat and then the actual butt seat part on the passenger seat.

Did you murder someone in the passenger seat?

I need your 318is emblem please.

lol - they're water stains from the door seals being all ratty and worn... they were replaced with "new" ones (just A LOT better shape than the previous) - and it looks like it's sold with motor and all to Mr. MX339. He will be coming by tonight and I will relunctantly cry as it's pulled away, lol... so until further notice, it is sold.
