Have you looked at this car in Ontario Canada? It has been for sale for a while so you might be able to negotiate a deal. It needs a complete paint job and a correct interior but with your budget you could end up with a mint car.

I've been in talks with the dealership in SF for 3 weeks and they won't budge. I can't spend more than 40k. I know what your thinking, what's another $4700 if I really want the car. But I have to factor in taxes and then getting it shipped here so I'm at 50k if I "buy -it-now". Hard to justify that to the wife for a 26 year old car.

The car in NJ is just ridiculous. 70k? If I wanted to spend that kind of money, I might as well go to EA. At least at EA I know I'd be getting a top notch car.
