Hi all-
I've lurked here for awhile and it seems to be a great forum. I've finally got the itch and am willing to part with my rare e46 to scratch it - I just don't have room in the garage for 2 BMWs.
What I have:
What makes it rare? The vast majority Sport Wagon came in automatic and all wheel drive. You may see an RWD version here and there but it's nearly guaranteed it's an automatic. You may see a manual here and there but it's nearly guaranteed to be AWD. Apparently my configuration is one of about 50 in the US that are pre-facelift.
I've done lots of maintenance on it such as rebuilding the VANOS, replaced the power steering pump, completely replaced the cooling system, just did the lower control arms and bushings recently. I do need to do the clutch, however. At 190k miles, the factory one is finally beginning to slip. I plan on doing that within the next month or so. (It's not my DD.)
What am I looking for in an e30? I know I can't be terribly picky as the number of them around are getting lower and lower. But, here's my short list and I'd be happy with a car that matches these:
That being said, my ideal car:
I'm located outside of Boston so finding someone close would be awesome, but I'm willing to drive for the right car. I'd say as far as Washington DC. Here's some pictures I took recently: https://imgur.com/a/hnH44
I haven't done the spring detailing yet so don't mind the kid crumbs and dog hair :)
Let me know if I've piqued your interest. Thanks!

What I have:
- 2001 BMW 325i Touring
- 5 speed manual
- Rear wheel drive
- 190k miles, well maintained
- Dice MediaBridge installed for full iPhone & Android integration complete with handsfree steering wheel functionality
- 2 sets of wheels: 18" summer wheels with Continental ExtremeContact DWs and 17" winter wheels (M-Contour replicas) with Blizzak WS70. Square setup on each

- Coupe or Sedan. No Convertible.
- 325i or 325is. No 325e.
- Manual transmission. No automatics.
- Colors I'm not too picky on but about the only ones I'm really against are brown and green. I've seen a few and just... no.
That being said, my ideal car:
- 1988-1991 (for the updated look)
- 325is
- Alpine White
- Manual Transmission
- Sport seats and leather interior
- Sunroof
