Bump. Blew head gasket this weekend at Road America. Fixing it now. Will be done next some time next week.

Noticed that cooling hoses are hard after track time. I would let the excessive air from the system by opening expansion tank cap and all would be good. If not, then it would start overheating. All of these symptoms would point to bad head gasket.

my s50 was doing exact same last yr.....

on street no issues at all.......but after a track session shed build up comb. gases..and hoses were rock hard...she'd puke a bit out of overflow tank too.....

turned out my head was mildly warped....009"

Yeah I am taking head off this weekend and taking to machine shop on monday. Ordered multi layered steel head gasket from VAC along with ARP head stud kit so could prevent this happening for future owner or myself if I keep the car.
