    That car looks nice !

It actually looks like an early 1990 325is (not an 88 325 which is an E-model) but it's hard to tell with those small Craigslist pics (Looks like it has sealed beam headlights and fixed rear quarter windows). And the 88 came with the big aluminum bumpers, yours has the 89-91 plastic bumpers (could have been swapped though, like mine is). Steering wheel is from a Convertible.

What is the build date on the door sticker?

It has the pop out rear windows, I think I miss labled it, it should be an 89! Oops! I'll get he build date off the door on my break.

Edit: it actually is an 88 with a plastic bumper conversion. I think this car has a couple diferent parts on it, but it still is extremly clean and runs perfect. This chassis was originally a 325, now has the 2.5 m20 and everything supporting it to be a 325i. It was all done extremely well. The build date is 09/87

Here's some info on it, but like said before, read the door jam/ decode the vin. Anyone can swap the tach and change the badges. But I know for a fact that's not a 2.5L intake manifold.
So what exactly are the differences between a 325e and 325i? Why do some models have an “s”, like a 318is, 325es, and 325is? Is the ’84-’85 318i the same as the ’91 31…

Thanks for the info, I thought I knew a little about e30's but I guess I knew nothing and kinda got screwed on this car I bought. I really just want to get rid of it because I found a good deal on an sti (dream car), I wish I could hold onto it but it's not in my budget now. I'll lower the price to whatever someone feels is fair. It really is a clean car tho and drives and runs amazing.

Something odd about that one--the build date is '87 and yet it has late model bumpers and front valance. The cluster is from an "i" car. 6-button OBC is not correct for a sport model. Kind of a franken-E30 there! Engine looks like M20B25 except for the manifold. Pretty sure that car did not come with that steering wheel. The '88 (and '87 build dates) still had metal bumpers. Not sure when the "is" models got the auto sunroof--that one doesn't have it, though.

Some kid will buy it and love it.

Edited: I was wrong about the valance, '88 came with that valance, fog lights, and brake ducts, just the bumpers got switched.

Yea like a said, you guys seem to know a lot more about the details than I thought I did. I got fooled. But regardless of it's miss matched parts it's super clean and has a nice straight body with good paint.

Can you confirm what engine is in the car? And how much are you asking for it?
