hate to do this, but this car has been progressing slower than I wanted. Between it, my house, Jeep, wife, I have too many plates to juggle. So I'm selling the car, which I will probably regret. My goal was to build a 4dr 3.1L sleeper.
1989 325i, 5 speed, 4 dr. black on black, 242k miles 3.73 gears open. California car its whole life, sold new at Otto Zipper in Beverly Hills.

vacuum lines
fuel hoses in engine bay
ALL fuel hoses and fuel filter in left rear using the proper BMW OEM form fitted hoses
P/S feed and return hoses, cap seal and system flush
motor mounts
engine slide snubber
blue coolant temp sensor
C101 connector cleaned
New DME main, fuel pump, and 02 Sensor relays
brand new custom exhaust from manifolds back in stainless steel with new catalytic converter, must be heard sounds like an E36 M3.
new trans mounts
new shift shaft seal
new output shaft seal
new updated shift detent cap
rebuilt shift linkage with all new parts and brackets, 1.9 Z3 shifter
New leather shift boot and Hamann evolution knob
Redline MTL in trans
diff service with Synthetic
new BMW gel cell AGM battery
US spec license plate filler, NLA, last one new from BMW one month ago
Tags just paid. Will include proper cans of automotive paint to refinish the plates, stickers not on yet.

Rear axle boots, I was waiting to install the LSD diff and was going to do the boots then.
oil cooler line is leaking, have second line to have done by Mesa Hose will get line made and swap out. This is the only real leak from the engine.
A/C compressor was removed by previous owner. have a used one, haven't installed it yet
both rear window regulators inop windows up, I never use them
Front tires. 195/60/14. Rears are like new, but I have 15" style 10's on order and wasn't going to buy two new 14" just to throw them out later.
OBC screen has bled out
pass dome light broke/missing
needs a few small interior trim bits like door handle trim, mirror sail, etc.
Drivers seat is very bad.
mirrors and bumpers need repainting. I was going to order Japanese market rub strips and eliminate the side markers, and do "is" front lip and rear trunk spoilers too.
Right inner high beam broken, fog lights broken, was going to replace set with Depo's when it was going to go down for paint
rear shelf needs to be dyed
antenna mast missing.
This is a super clean four door, has some dings for the mileage but the paint is still nice and shiny as you can see. Dash has a few cracks but the rest of the seats besides the driver look like nobody has ever sat in them. This car has never been hit, painted, and has ALL of its VIN tags on the body panels and is all original. Car is in great mechanical shape also, has all its power, no weird noises or vibration aside from the front tires. Runs like a champ and will bark second gear no problem. I'm asking $5750 which is fair for a manual trans plastic bumpered "i" car. I don't need the money, or have to sell so if it doesn't sell it sits and still gets driven, just built much slower. You want to come look at it great. You want to go for a ride, bring a wad of cash. Car is locate in Long Beach area.

1989 M20 from same production date of car with 112K miles. ran when pulled but had a running issue, I found the front crank bolt loose so I'm certain that was the issue the shop was chasing. I got it as a core for a stroker motor complete, manifold, wiring, accessories, oil pan, everything

I'm open to reasonable offers but I know how hard it is to find cars like these anymore. Hard work is done, just needs bits and pieces and suspension set up to have a nice well kept E30.
