    E21-320iS feeler-

Neighbor is thinking about selling an E21, asked me to find a ballpark value.

Basics- 320iS, 1980 (mfd 11/79), white, approx. 76k mi, sunroof, leather (driver seat has a split). Practically 100% original.

History- one owner car, serviced and garaged locally (Golden, CO).

Damage- was tapped in rear and repaired, but starting to rust under left rear turn signal. Balance of car looks clean at first glance. Going for CO Emissions test soon, will report results.

    1) Any idea for a valuation, reference only? Avg private sale, or range.

    2) Any interest in purchasing?

    3) Inquiries, interest- I have permission for a test drive, might be able to allow pre-purchase inspection at local indy shop (your $, of course).

    4) For VIN, Pictures, specific questions, contact me with your email.

    Thanks!

      Pics

OK, here are pics; still parked in, but at least it's not covered.
Still no idea what the asking price is, yet. But we're closing in on it.

Other details, on closer inspection I found:
      Cracked dash, typical places
Front seats are covered, no clue what's underneath
      Significant rust under left tail light, pictured;
Other spot of rust, small, on front right fender under rubber trim
      Really needs a good cleaning

      VIN: 7154419
      MY 1980, mfd. 11/79

I'll get a look under the hood and interior as soon as I can.

I just paid $1200 for a 1983 320iS in better condition than this one. It was also rust free.

My instance may not be a good example, but in that condition, I wouldn't pay more than $1k for it, and that's with the intention of parting it out and keeping all the good parts for an 02 build.

Good luck. Also, I like what you do with roundie tail lights. I should send you a set.
