I've got an 87 325iS that I am looking to send to a good home.

Not sure how many owners this car has had, but at one point in it's life it was parked for about 7 years. Thats why it's in need of a tank and fuel pump. The previous owner drove it but didn't do any maintenance, just kept pouring oil and coolant in, and it would then leak right back out. Over the last 9 months I've been slowly trying to get it caught up with all the neglected maintenance. Now the last two leaks are minor, one is the hose from the expansion tank to the water pump, that I may have the new hose for and the other is the oil pan gasket, again I might have the gasket.
Stock M20 runs good, idles smooth, pulls to redline.
The Good:
crack free dash
gauges work, temp takes a minute to wake up but works correctly once it does.
trans feels good, clutch engages nice and low.
straight body
Was averaging about 25mpg before fuel pump died. Turns out it was running on only the external pump and it was sucking through the dead in-tank pump.
Tape deck works and I even have the code to unlock it. Volume knob is iffy though.
Things I've done:
afm
timing belt
cam seal
plugs/rotor/cap
water pump
valve adjustment
motor mounts
trans mounts
trans/diff fluids
blower motor resistor
The bad:
fan clutch
diff makes noises. It is the original diff correct for the car.
front seat covers
suspension, it's old
brakes
control arm bushings
oil pan gasket
A/C currently does not work. Don't know if it could but the compressor had been getting leaked on by the water pump for many years so we decided not to mess with putting a belt on it. It might work.
Currently it is not running and waiting for a new gas tank to get installed with a new intank pump. If I get the tank and pump replaced it will also get a new csb and exhaust rubber mounts, possibly a new diff mount as well.
This car could be a great daily runner or is a perfect candidate for a swap.
I'm asking $3000 running but I'll take $2500 as-is, you get the new tank and some parts too.
Now on to the pictures.
