1991 325i Track Car- Upstate South Carolina $4000obo

    Sold

Hey guys, let me know if you are interested. I've kicked around selling this for a while, but a second kid on the way and a recent BMW bike have forced my hand. I know I'll regret it.

Here lets make your ad easier for people that might be interested.....

The time has finally come to part with my first born. I purchased the car from the back of a dealer here in Easley with a substantial oil leak back in 2007. Since then, I have slowly transformed the car into the track rat you see now. To call it a rat is probably too harsh. There is no rust on the car. Its straight and true. The paint is horrible, the clearcoat is a thing of the past. The interior has a new dash and is mostly gutted. Who puts a crackless dash in a track car? Since installing, one small crack has developed.

First, the bad. While on track in 2012, I had a lower radiator hose fail causing the car to overheat. I was able to get her shut down in time, so I thought, to prevent any damage, however the compression numbers showed a different story. Two of the cylinders are down slightly (I have the numbers somewhere and can probably dig them up although this was two years ago). I was able to tow the car home, flushed out what was left of the coolant and changed the oil. The car fired up. I have been driving it like this since then and completed 3 or 4 track weekends on it. I've never had an issue aside from the original of an overheating incident on track since, but in traffic, the needle does tend to rise. The car has an electric fan in place of the original clutch fan. My last session was in September of 2014 where the car performed flawlessly. It's so well balanced and a joy to drive. With a rebuilt motor or a 24v swap, the car would be perfect.

      Now to the good,

-Full spece30 suspension including sways, camber plates

-PFC 08 Brake Pads with life left in them. Blank rotors still in good shape

-Two sets of wheels, Rota Slipstream 15x8 with Toyo RA1 tires
-Full Disclosure (one rim has a slight bend. It was like this when I purchased it. It has caused the tire to have some excessive camber wear. I ran this wheel on track on the right rear with no problems)

-The other set is 15x7 TRMotorsport C1's in black. No bends, and they match the color of brake dust which is nice. Useless R888 tires on them right now

-Momo Competition Wheel, Cobra Sebring Containment Seat for driver, Schroth Profi harness for driver, Clubman for passenger. I currently have a Corbeau passenger bucket in there for driver's school, but if you want the original sport seat, I have that too.

-BavAuto Stainless Long tube headers, Scorpion exhaust, cat delete. Car sounds good despite the valve tick

      -MarkD 93 Octane chip

-Professionally installed 4 point roll bar.

      UUC EVO Shifter

-I've kicked around selling the car for a while now, not that I don't love driving, but that I haven't used it to it's advantages. Now, with a second baby on the way and a recent BMW Motorrad purchase, it's time for someone else to enjoy her and take her to the next level. Below is a video from September. If you need more info, don't hesitate to ask. The price is OBO, but no lowballers. I also know I won't get close to what I have in it.

You might want to list the last 7 of the VIN that way if someone wants to look at the history of car they can as well.
