2 door
Delphin gray exterior
Light brown vinyl comfort interior
5 speed manual
Estimated 225k miles
Clean title in hand

I’m the third owner of this car. Based on records, I’d say it was probably a fleet car or a loaner for the first few hundred miles of it’s life. Then first owner drove it around NC, Atlanta, VA, and TN until the early 2000s. Then it moved hands to another Nashville resident until I bought it last spring. It’s always been daily driven except for sitting parked for about a year two years ago.
This is a survivor/driver car, not a restoration. I started last spring with the idea that I would do basic maintenance then gradually build an S52 daily driver. I made it as far as the suspension but have not yet done anything to powertrain, interior, or body/paint.
Good stuff:
All original body panels in decent shape
Original interior in pretty good condition
Bridgestone tires with good tread depth
Working air conditioning
Service records available. Even have part of original window sticker.
Maintenance/new parts in past 12 months/5k miles:
All parts OEM supplier (Lemforder, Bosch, etc.) unless otherwise noted
Oil changed with mobil 1 every 3 months
New roundels
Engine oil filler cap
Air filter
Fuel filter
Fuel hose in & out of fuel filter
Timing belt & tensioner
Waterpump
Front end coolant hoses (have rear end/lower hoses not installed to transfer to new owner)
Power steering fluid
Valves adjusted
Valve cover gasket
Spark plugs
Ignition coil
Plug wires
Distributor cap and rotor
Air conditioner recharged
Control arm bushings (offset)
Trailing arm bushings
Rear shock mounts (rogue engineering)
Wheel bearings at 3 corners (maintenance records show previous owner did the 4th not long ago)
Control arms
Tie rods
Sway bar end links
Brake lines
Brake rotors
Brake pads (stoptech street)
Brake fluid (ATE gold)
Brake dust shields
Koni yellow struts/shocks
H&R sport springs
E90 drop hats
Rear subframe bushings (urethane)
Differential seals and fluid
Left rear axle (right was done by previous owner)
Steering rack boot
New exhaust headers back (as cheap as possible local muffler shop job)
New battery
Bad stuff:
Plenty of small scratches and dings
Dent in front left corner lower valence with broken fog light
Front left fender previous repair cracking
Battery box rust
Manual sunroof broken (does not leak)
Suspect a leaking heater core
Odometer stuck in 130s
Aftermarket CD player only plays CDs and only through two rear speakers
Cracked dash
Missing trim piece around driver interior door handle
Clock does not work
Original drivetrain is a little tired. Drips about a 2 inch oil spot overnight, clutch is snatchy, shifter sags and notchy when cold, undiagnosed whine from driveshaft/differential. All that said, the engine still pulls OK, clutch doesn’t slip, and diff will still spin the rear tires. Basically, it’s not going to leave you stuck anywhere, but it would benefit from a refresh/swap.
