This car is a gem. Rebuilt s52 OBD2 engine with m50 manifold, working AC, refreshed transmission, refreshed 3.25 LSD diff, e36 steering rack, and more (see below)
I need to sell because I just bought an engagement ring and am in business school so I am bleeding cash and need to raise some funds.
Price: $13,500 (with hardtop), I will be flexible to move the car fast
Also, should you want them, I can include the 17” e36 rep rims and tires I have lying around (85% tread), which are probably worth $500-700, and the original basket weaves, which aren’t worth that much
The chassis has ~112k miles on it and is in decent shape
The s52 engine was torn apart only a year and a half ago and has about ~1,000 since
All the work on this car was done professionally by the very reputable JG Technik in New Haven CT and I have all the receipts totaling over $10k. I can PM a copy if requested.
quick and dirty details (there is a lot more on the receipts)
Engine: rebuilt s52 - OBD 2
New headers (ebay), 24lb injectors, m50 manifold, m50 fuel rail, all sensors, custom exhaust (3” pipe, Vibrant resonator, Vibrant Y pipe, Vibrant muffler), seals and bearings, water pump, studs, gaskets, and a bunch more including machine work on the head and cams
Differential: 3:25LSD refreshed
New seals, fluid, etc
Transmission: 6sp swap with ZF transmission also refreshed
New pilot bearing, pressure plate bolts, clutch lines, Sachs Clutch kit, etc
ZHP knob
Refreshed suspension
New inner and outer tie rods, control arm bushings
Steering: e36 steering rack
New pump, lines, pully and fluid
Other
Red 46 skid plate, new soft top (2 years ago), hard top
… this car’s drivetrain is about as new and perfect as you will find
whats the downside? The car has a rebuilt title, which i received in 2013 when i registered the car in CT. The car was totaled in 2011 for reasons unknown to me, however we have gone through the car extensively in the rebuild process and found no issues except shattered glass in the convertible top well. Car drives very well and i'm happy to accommodate test drives.
