    FS: 1985 325e Burgundrot

PRICE DROPPED EVEN LOWER $2500 DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES! this is a great car!

Testing the waters to see if anyone is interested in a nice running, solid 325e in a unique color. I purchased this car from an enthusiast friend in non-op condition and have spent quite a bit of money and sweat equity to get it running well. I will do my best to accurately describe the car, but remember it is a 30 year old vehicle folks :)

Maintenance (everything done in last year, <3K miles):

    Timing belt, accessory belts
    Coolant hoses, water pump, thermostat
    Crank sensors
    Valve cover gasket
    Air filter
Tune up (cap, rotor, spark plugs)
Fuel tank and rubber fuel lines
In tank fuel pump, fuel filter
Brake discs, pads and hoses all around
    Control arms, CABs, strut bearings
Inner and outer tie rods and boots
    CV boots
Rear subframe bushings, rear trailing arm bushings
    Rear shock mounts
    Selector shaft seal, tailshaft seal
    Rear main seal
Sachs clutch kit (disc, pressure plate, t/o bearing, pilot bearing)
    Clutch slave cylinder
    Used G260 trans
    Trans and diff fluids

    Performance parts

IE3 Springs, Bilstein Sports (used but 1K miles when purchased)
    SSsquid 93 octane chip
    "i" spec downpipe/cat
    Ansa sport cat back
    3.25 limited slip diff

    Exterior condition

    Poor condition paint
Some body repairs/bondo in pass rear quarter in front of wheel
Some body repair bottom edge of driver fender behind wheel
Rust repair by my friend a paint and body guy - spare tire well, battery tray, rear apron, small amount pass floor
Professional accident repair on left rear panel under trunk (nice repair, new tailight and gasket)
Non rusty but non matching sunroof panel (good used brackets and cables)
Crack in windshield on passenger side
Nice euro bumpers with several new fasteners

    Interior condition

    Nice almost crack free dash
Pearl beige panels and rear seat (vinyl)
Natur vinyl sport seats, driver side cracked/checked but good foam
Gray carpet and rear shelf panel
    Headliner torn on passenger side
Old school Alpine deck with remote CD player, new speakers
Euro clock that smoked its pigtail (not functioning)
A/C removed but have compressor, everything there except condensor, aux fan and lines that connect compressor/dryer to condensor
    Slow but functioning window motors
Fan resistor not functioning (blower works on high setting only)

The car drives unbelievably well. Currently the odo is non functioning (225K), so I have no clue as to the actual mileage. The eta motor is fairly noisy, but pulls hard and uses very little oil. It does leak out of just about every place possible except the valve cover. Super solid even with a fairly stiff suspension, handles nicely. The chip and diff transform the car.

I am contemplating a power steering delete to clean up the bay and add a bit of heft to the steering feel, so car may come with or without power steering. It is the original 4.0 turn rack.

I am looking for $3900. Car is located in Mooresville, NC. It does not come with the Hartge wheels, but will be sold with a nice set of BMW 14-in weaves freshly painted with new roundels and brand new 195-60 tires. Just have to get them mounted and installed.

    Panel repair on left side

    Thanks for looking!

More detailed photos and pics on the weaves as requested:

Sun was making it hard to shoot dash:

    Rust spot 1

    Rust spot 2

Dent/bondo on bottom of front fender

Dent/bondo/rust on rear quarter ahead of passenger rear tire

Tear/sag in headliner (sunroof panel has no headliner material0

I've had the pleasure of seeing this car come together, and driving it a few times. This car is solid, and drives incredibly well. Pete really knows how to build a car properly; someone is going to get a hell of a good deal!

Thanks guys. With the 14s it is a lot easier to break loose the rear end :p

I might have to look into that. It's becoming hard to find the right one in the northeast.
