    1995 540i 6 speed - Blk/Blk / 117k miles / cold a/c - FL

It’s finally time to put my 540i up for sale. I “finished” my m62 e30 enough to enjoy it, so, the need for two v8 vehicles is not fitting for me right now.
Anyway, I have a 1995 540i 6 speed with 117xxx miles on it. I have owned the car since 102k and it has been trouble-free since I took ownership. Cold A/C, hot heat, heated seats, and the like as a $60k original msrp car should have.
I have both original keyless entry/alarm keys, I also have the valet key and the key blank for getting a copy made.
When I bought the car, it had a bad automatic transmission, so I hunted and acquired all the necessary parts from a 540i/6 to properly swap my car to a manual.
Many new parts were used during the swap including: LUK e39 flywheel, LUK clutch kit, Lemfoerder guibo, center support, and trans mounts, and a new BMW trans brace. Clutch master cylinder and slave are both Febi (Bilstein), and the line was replaced as well.
Everything is functional with swap except for the reverse lights, however they are wired up and do work if you jump the switch. The reverse switch on the trans is bad or simply worn. Cheap easy fix, it just never bothered me enough to fix it. But cruise control works, traction control works, no warning lights, everything is very functional and it shifts like butter. New fluid was put in the transmission as well.
As for other parts replaced…water pump and thermostat was done just before I got the car by the previous owner, I replaced the thermostat housing with a metal one. I also did the intake manifold and throttle body gaskets as they are a common vacuum leak area. Belts are new. Oil pump bolts have been removed, loc-tited, and reinstalled (common for them to back out).
Also, this is the m60b40, so the engine with the better timing chain design (not to be confused with the problematic e39/e38 m62b44 timing chain tensioner design) so no worries there.
Front pads and rotors are new, rear pads are new. Struts are new as well (stock febi replacement cartridges).
It has truly been a great car to me. Fuel mileage is about 18 around town, I’ve gotten around 24mpg crossing the state on the highway. It has been my daily driver 45 miles each way for the past year.
Paint and interior is in very good shape and cleans up very nice for its age. The car was clearly garaged for much of its life.
Now for the issues, the passenger side window motor is bad as it does not go down, and the rear driver’s side window goes down but needs help going up (the clutch in that motor is slipping). Driver’s side window and rear right window operate perfectly though.
The headliner is in need of reupholstering, and the sunroof switch panel is also in need of replacement (common issue with e34s).
Also, it will need tires soon as the current ones have about run their course.

    Tl;dr

    New:
    Clutch Kit / Flywheel
    Trans / Motor Mounts
    Guibo / Center Support
Clutch Master / Slave / Hose
    Brakes
All four struts and rear strut mounts
Water Pump / Tstat / Tstat Housing / Belts
Battery was replaced in 2014 (Duralast Gold)
    Both fuel filters replaced
    new air filter

    Needs:
Passenger Front / Driver Rear Window Motor
    Reverse Switch
    Small interior cosmetic fixes
    Tires
Few exterior dings (PDR guy told me they could all be removed without breaking into the paint)
Passenger side rear door panel needs re-glued (common e34)

Looking for $5500 or best offer. Car is currently registered in Florida and insured and can be test driven by a serious party.
Please contact me through PM for more details or pictures you may request.
    Thank you.

Haha. Contrary to the pictures, the car now has a half tank. That more than doubles its value!

Thank you! It really looks gorgeous in person.

Fuuuuuuu, this is exactly what I'm in the market for! Prefect example.

Trying to sell my E30 for the same price. I'm in Orlando, coincidence? I think not, lol. Hopefully mine sells soon

Nice car, I owned one just like it a few years back, they are a blast to drive. Shouldn't it have the sport seats in it though?

I could be wrong but I think only the m-sport 540i had the sport seats as standard equipment and they were an option on the regular 540i

Maybe so. Mine had them and the others I know of did but I bet it was an option
