    Alpine e28

Okay so one day I found this random garage and in it, was what he said was a Turbo diesel 5 series. He said it was an e30. He didn't know his stuff at all. Weird at first and kind of made me sad that he had these cars and no knowledge. He did however tell me it was for sale. I thought about it for a little and I said I was in no position to buy another car (I picked up the e30 the night before). He said that he also had a parts car for his "E30" around back. I go back there and find this piece of mangled art...

My eyes about fell out of my head. He told me he wants to get rid of it for dirt cheap. I won't say the price until I snatch it up (you guys are slick and might get it before I do if it's an intelligent decision ;) ) anyway, what do you guys think? Should I buy it?
I would LOVE to know more about the car if anybody knows!
Also here is the "turbo diesel". I don't even know if it is or not.

If I get it, I will probably part it out.

Does it have an alpina tag? It might not be real, FYI

I don't think that's an Alpina, it has divingboards.

Thank you so much guys. I appreciate the input. Do you think the parts are just painted that way or what? I heard that the chrome fender flares are rare. Do you think they just took parts from an original B7?

that car is a turd. judging by all the crap plastered to that car (chrome fender flares, fugly chrome strip down along the bottom of the doors, bs around the door lock) someone tried to rice it out.

                    walk away.

Thank you so much man. I was really researching and the whole situation was just %100 percent too good to be true. Do you think any of the parts are worth anything? Steering wheel, doors, etc?

even if he gave it to you for free. you still have to drag it away, spend time removing items, post them on line, haggling a price, shipping, etc. that's a headache. the things that would sell would be sport seats, limited slip diff, suspension pieces, high compression engine. i'm guessing this car has nothing.

as for the wood steering wheel, it's too small. whoever owned that car, sadly ruined it. it's good for scrap metal, IMHO.
