I just recently moved and would like to downsize (I have 4 cars). Just putting this out there, this is my 5th E30, here it is. 1991 B-Rot 318is with 268K accurate and working mileage, if mileage is your issue stop reading here. Parts that have been replaced within the last 8K miles (preventative maint): Water Pump, Timing Chain tensioner, Engine plastic water pipe, Intake boot, power steering lines, steering rack(rebuilt), Front wheel bearings x2, Brake rotors and pads on all four corners, new battery, 4 Perelli OEM size all season tires, All drive belts with continental OEM belts, OEM BMW Behr radiator, intake manifold gasket, valve cover gasket, 4 wheel alignment and A/C blower motor resistor. Maintenance done in the last 1K: Cluster rebuild, replaced spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, Flush of all fluids with Redline for Trans and diff Ate for brake fluid and OEM BMW coolant for rad and Castrol 20W/50, rear BMW emblem replaced. The A/C is ice cold, and this car does NOT overheat in traffic even on 90+ degree days, I am a BMWCCA member and have owned this car for the last 5 years and put many miles on it driving up and down the East coast, FL to VA and from Miami Fl to Jacksonville FL (350miles) The car is a road warrior! The car is not perfect and has typical issues of a 24yr old car...the clear coat has peeling in some areas as shown in the pictures, the shifter could use a rebuild, its not too bad but I'm picky about little things like that, exhaust has a small rattle due to a broken clamp, the dash is cracked but has a cover, a clean dash will go with the sale of the car. The only rust on the car is in the battery box in the trunk. The sunroof works great and has no rust/ leaks and both windows operate excellent with no issues, the seats were tastefully redone by the previous owner and are still in good condition no rips tears ect. I daily this car and can stand by its reliability 100%, the car is all OEM except for the Alpine radio and amp set up. The power antenna however does not work and is stuck 3/4 the way up...never really bothered me. The head on the car was removed for a head gasket around 200k by the previous owner, it does not smoke or burn oil, not even a little! ( I still have his contact for verification) the inside of it looks brand new as I change the oil religiously every 5K! I believe this to be a true survivor and extremely well taken care of and a solid example of an original E30. The only thing missing from this car is an LSD..it has the 4.10 open diff.
