I'm looking for a 325i (convertible is ok) or 325iS, manual transmission. I would also look at a 325e or eS. I don't want anything with the body-color bumpers, so anything after 89 or I guess 91 for the convertible I'm not particularly interested in. What I'm looking for specifically is a car that I will not have to pour a lot of money into to keep it running, so good mechanical shape - low mileage, well maintained, garaged, etc etc is what I am interested in. Exterior/interior, cosmetic issues are less important. I am not particularly interested in seriously modified cars but anything that is not too obvious (i.e., no absurd exhausts, etc) is o.k. I am in Washington DC and am looking for a car relatively near me that I can have checked out by a mechanic before I buy.
