1990 BMW 325is Black/Black 233051 miles.
$6500 or best reasonable offer.
In the last 30k miles, I’ve rebuilt the shifter and the suspension (front and rear) and steering. I didn’t change the struts, shocks, and springs since they were already good and I was saving for coilovers. It has Bilsteins on all 4 corners.
Everything works, everything. The car is stock, no aftermarket mods.
Current Smog check.
Power windows and locks
Power sunroof
Cruise Control
Air Conditioning, R134 so it’s not as cold as R12 but has been fine on 105 degree Fresno days.
On Board computer works
Warning light system works
All interior lights work.
No rips in the seats. I swapped in a passenger seat with no tears into the driver's side. I have the original seat plus another spare.
The dash has 2 small cracks
I stitched on a new leather steering wheel cover, it’s not pro but looks decent.
The paint is in good shape. The previous owner backed into a pole and cracked the rear bumper, I drove it like this for years and always planned on replacing it. The paint on the rear spoiler seems to be pulling away, no cracks but will eventually need to be repainted. There is a door ding on the passenger side. I had a cover on the car for a year and there is now a 1 inch spot on the roof were the clear fogged. The car could use a full polish but looks good from 5 feet.
The motor is original. A rocker arm broke about a year and a half ago. I put the car on non-op with DMV and parked it. This summer I pulled the head off and discovered a tired motor, as you’d expect from 233k miles. The motor had never been opened. I contacted Bimmerheads about a refresh and started saving. Then a 911SC fell in my lap, so with a lump in my throat, my BMW must go. I replaced just the broken rocker arm, installed a new water pump, radiator, timing belt, and head gasket then threw it together. The car still runs great and passed Smog but has an exhaust leak at the manifold. Were I to keep it, I would put fresh struts and shocks. I would also rebuild the brakes new hoses and all, they work fine but it is 25 years old. I would freshen up the LSD, it does make a little whine when it gets hot, in 30k miles the sound’s never changed. Then lastly I’d rebuild the motor.
This has been a great car and no doubt I will regret selling it. My commute has 14 miles of epic twisty roads and this BMW made the drive a real joy.
Let me know if the price I'm asking is out of line, I tried to see what others like it are selling for.
PM with any questions.
