M42 with one coil? GLWS! Any codes set?

Check the crank sensor resistance, should be about 700ohms. Clean the sensor head and check the air gap with a credit card.

If not that...fuel pump failures are pretty common on old pumps too, you can get a cheap replacement Bosch-labeled pump at NAPA. Be sure to pick up the filter sock/screen too.

My friend changed the fuel pump today, didn't seem to fix it. Coil pack and CPS is next I suppose! BUMP
