SOLD: 1992 BMW 318i Convertible Mauritius Blue

Hey guys, up for sale your looking at my little 318i Convertible, painted the very rare factory color "Mauritius Blue Pearl". I've been working on this one for some time now, and now the car is definitely one of the more mechanically sorted e30's posted today for sale. It runs great, doesn't leak a single drop of oil or transmission fluid, all seals that where leaking where replaced at one point to keep it leak free. It's not an over exaggeration, it seriously doesn't leak a drop which is very surprising because most, if not all e30's for sale have leaks. The clutch is in great shape, doesn't slip, shifts into all gears great, including up and down shifting. The car needs absolutely no mechanical work. The only thing the car really needs is some paint on the trunk lid, and rear bumper. The rest of the paint on the entire car still shines fine with no other clear coat peal. Lastly, the convertible top was replaced recently, great shape with excellent tension straps. Bellow is a list of repairs the car had in the past two years.

    MORE HD Photos here:

$3500 Picked up in San Mateo, CA

    Engine/ fluids and Steering
    -New Tranny Fluid
    -New Differential Fluid
-Rebuild power steering rack (resealed) with new tie rods
    -New BOSCH Starter
    -New Air Filter (11/2015)
    -Fresh Oil/ Filter Change (11/2015)
    -New Oil Pressure Sensor
    -Newer Alternator

    Body and Interior
    -Decent condition seats
-All Matching Panels (ALL VIN NUMBERS ARE THE SAME ON EVERY PANEL; Never had fenders replaced, doors, trunk, ect)
-Paint is 6.5/10 (some clear coat peal on bumper, and trunk lid. Paint is still in good shape threw out the rest of the car)
-Some dents, however none that a paint-less dent removal specialist couldn't fix
    -Premium Sound System
-ONE key opens all, spare included (2 keys will be included)
    -Manual Top
-All Interior bulbs work, Including the HVAC Panel
    -New Shift Knob
    -New Front Spoiler for Valance
-European Clock; Originally a 6 Button OBC Car

    Other Info
    -Heated seats all work
-The power antenna works, and fully extends
-Windshield has no chips or cracks
-The soft top was recently replaced and is in great shape
-2 year old battery BOSCH Battery
    -All Windows work
-Plenty of Break Pad left (Brakes/ Rotors replaced last year, have maybe 3,000 miles total)
    -4.27 Open Diff
    -Almost Complete Trunk Tool Kit
    -Brand New (never mounted) Spare
-It may need new SI battery's at a later point, replacement boards cost under $150 (The Tach needle stays up with the ignition off because of this)
-The temp gauge works, but is always in the blue area. Will go up to around 1/3rd. I'm pretty sure this issues also SI Battery related.
-The steering rack even though its been replaced , seeps fluid from where the column enters the rack. Leaks 1 drop or less every couple days.
-Has original 90's CA plates which have capital letters, rather then cursive. Front plate is included.
-The shocks that hold the trunk up when its open are getting weak and should be replaced if you open the trunk lid frequently. It still stays
open fine however. You can see the two in picture #12, there about $30 a set on eBay.

If your looking for a solid cheap e30, this is the one for you. It's not perfect of course, but much better then most the crap out there these days. I'll admit, the camera makes it look better then it truly is in person and no I didn't edit the photos. If the paint was better, my asking price would be a lot higher. I just had it smogged last week, and is ready for the new owner to take her home. I can show the car Mondays before 5pm, Tuesday- Friday after 7.30PM, or early mornings, and Saturdays after 4.30. I'm also available occasionally on Sundays. Please no joy rides, I'm not in a rush to sell in fact I just ordered a replacement title as I misplaced mine, it should be coming in the mail sometime this week, of course in my name with a clean title. I believe my asking price is very fair, so don't expect a Black Friday discount.

    Thanks for Looking!

Well it sold! To the first people who checked it out in person. A Dad and his 20yr old daughter came by, nice people. Cars perfect for her, she has neon blue hair to match with the top down!

          Thanks for the interest everyone.

I was worried It would be be a hard sale in November actually myself, glad to see it went to a new girl e30 enthusiast though :D. I'm doing a few last things for her to make sure its in tip top shape, like spark plugs, reverse light switch on the transmission (she actually realized the lights didn't work when I backed it up!). Not really part of the deal, but whats $20 out of my pocket going to do. I might even do the thermostat if I have time. She's picking it up early next week.
