For sale is my old 1991 318is. A friend gave this car to me for my birthday in 2008 after a valve destroyed the original M42. I brought the car back to life and swapped in a 1992 M50 non-vanos motor. The original build is documented here:
I sold the car to a forum member in 2010 after moving to NYC. Here's a link to the listing back in 2010: http://bit.ly/1l3F9uQ and I bought the car back. Here are the current stats:

The issue is that the car overheats, but it still runs and drives. I did a compression test and found low compression on two adjacent cylinders, numbers 4+5. This is a classic sign that the head gasket is leaking between those two cylinders, and that is what I suspect needs to be repaired. Compression test video here: http://bit.ly/1TpndWT
I don't have time to repair or room to store the car once the snow comes. Playing with these cars is a hobby and passion of mine, but I have to let one go. This would be a great project for someone with some time to invest. Still a great little car that turns heads every time you drive it!
