    FS: 1997 M3/4/6 Low Miles! – SoCal

    **SOLD**

For sale is a clean title 1997 Arctic Silver M3 Sedan with 106K original miles!

The car has spent all of its life in Southern California and from inspecting the paint condition, it looks to have been garaged its entire life! Carfax shows clean title and good track record of maintenance performed by BMW dealerships. I purchased the car from an adult owner. He owned the car for close to four years and drove it only 2,500 miles; it was mostly covered in the garage. The owner prior to him, a BMW service manager, purchased the car in 2004 with 74,000 miles in stock form and performed most of the engine and drivetrain modifications at roughly 85,000 miles, summary below. Majority of the engine components were replaced with BMW OEM parts during his ownership. I also spoke to him and he was kind enough to give me a rundown of every little thing that he had done to the car, a real stand-up guy. Since taking ownership of the vehicle, I have inspected all the gaskets, spark plugs, belts, water pump, cooling system, brakes, replaced every hose under the hood and three oil changes with OEM synthetic oil. This is my daily driver and I have put 6,000 miles since purchase. There are no dead pixels on the dash or center console displays. Everything works as it should! I wouldn’t hesitate taking this car cross country as is right now!

Mods under the hood worth mentioning are the mildly DINAN tuned custom supercharger kit, an E46 M3 6-speed manual transmission (all factory new components when swapped) with lightened flywheel and carbon ceramic clutch kit and a 3.73 diffential. I have not dyno’d the car, but I've been told that this kit will generate between 280hp to 295hp + (fluctuation based on software and supporting mods). The engine mods, coupled with JP headers (CARB Legal), Euro MAF, M50 intake manifold and Racing Dynamics exhaust makes it an extremely fun car to drive. Original paint still shines real nicely, but don't expect perfection from an 18 year old car. Overall, this is a well sorted and extremely fun car to own.

Please see below for summary of the car:

    Full disclosure:
-Bottom front section of the front passenger seat has what looks like blue paint marking, pictured below. I'm assuming the previous owner accidentally spilled paint while trying to restore the tri-color stripes on the seats. The Leatherique black dye kit should fix this issue."
-Front driver seat bolsters have normal wear from use. Also can be fixed with the Leatherique kit.
-There is a slight dent located on the exterior section of the passenger side A-pillar. It is hardly noticeable due to the color of the car, and also difficult to capture on camera.

    Carfax available upon request.
PPI available upon request. Potential Buyer is responsible for all fees associated with PPI.

I’m located in SoCal (near Los Angeles, CA). Locals preferred, but also open to out of state transactions. Buyer will be responsible for all costs associated with shipping.

    Asking price: $14,500 as is

              Stock suspension?

And I'm curious... they went through all that trouble for CARB legal stuff but then swapped an M50 manifold? That last bit negates the rest of it.

              (fantastic car though)

I highly doubt any smog tech will notice the intake manifold change. Especially when they already have a smog legal supercharger to distract them.

Clean car. Are you shopping for an E30?
Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

I'm rarely in here, so the thread never gets updated. Thread updated with new asking price and additional description of the car.
