I'm on the hunt for my first BMW. I got hooked on a friend's '87 325i delphin sedan and now that my house purchase and wedding are in the rearview mirror I want to find an E30.

Ideal car: 1989, 325is, manual, red, coupe, euroweaves, suspension and exhaust upgrades.

Must have plastic bumpers (89-91)
Must be red.
No rust
I'm open to both coupes and sedans,

That's really nice and I'd love a swapped E30, but my budget is more in the clean M20 range.

Bumping up this post from 5 years ago. 2 kids later and 3+ years of fun with a 911 and still after an E30.

Perfect car-

*Red
*Sedan or coupe
*plastic bumpers
*M20 (swaps considered)
*Prefer black interior
*manual
*no rust
*performance upgrades ok (and actually preferred) - Z3 rack, 2.7 stroker, suspension, exhaust, LSD.
*AC intact/functional
*Anywhere in the US is fine, willing to travel/ship the right car, (done that about 5 times and never had a problem).
