Not experienced in selling. First car that I am selling so here it goes.
I feel it is time to part ways even after such a short time. But it is hard to reason having an E30 in college when there are much more important things (not really, but parents think so. They are providing my education so can't really say no).
To start, I want to explain the rebuilt title. I locked the brakes up and rear ended someone. I have a picture from immediately after the accident. I took it to a shop the insurance recommended. They said 1000 things needed to be replaced and it skyrocketed the price. USAA called it totaled. I wanted to keep the car so I did. I took it to a local shop (Jim's Body Shop) and all they did was replaced one bumper shock, lower valence, and metal bumper because that was really all that was damaged. I damaged the fan shroud and the cooling fan a little which will be talked about later).
I have a 1988 325 with the M20B27. Has an "i" head. Ireland reground cam that makes this idle better than some muscle cars. It just lopes like crazy. It has flowmaster exhaust, headers, and x pipe. A tune that was done at Wot-tech (a shop in Miami). It was also bumper to redline at 7k instead of he factory 5 and a half. Mileage stopped at 131k and I am a bit clueless as to where it is now. Maybe 180k?
I recently had a local Euro shop put in a new fan clutch and cooling fan. It does, however, need a fan shroud (accident broke previous one so shop didn't put it back on and couldn't supply a new one ) so the fan is a little pointless. And the aux fan most likely needs to just be plugged in, but there is a slight chance it may need to be replaced. It worked before I took it to the shop and got it back it doesn't. I noticed it was unplugged so I tried to plug it in but it kept blowing fuses. But the plastic around the connectors fell apart so it could have been touching. But with no aux fan and definitely no fan shroud, it will overheat if sitting in traffic. But as soon as you start rolling it cools down instantly which leads me to believe it is strictly air/fan related. Water pump, timing belt, tensioner, etc were all replaced not too long ago when the head job was done.
It is sitting on raceland coils. It has traklite drums and new sumitomo tires put on in December. It has a brand new Maaco paint job with their 4 year warranty. (Alpine white) It will not come with the steering wheel. It will come with the hub and a cheap wheel to drive it. Unless for the right price, I will order the wheel of the buyer's choice.
It has 2 custom boxes made by @E30_HEAD that fit 8" subs behind the rear door cards. Has a JVC head unit, 1500 watt 5 channel amp. Ran speakers through the amp.
I would like $5250, but like everyone I am open to offers. I am sure I am missing something. Ask any questions.
Thanks, Ben.
