Alright guys, this sucks, but I think it is time for me to sell my cabby. I will make this easy so there won't be any questions.
Year: 10/1988
Model: 325i convertible
Transmission: 5speed (originally auto but swapped it)
Mileage: 214xxx original miles
The car is nearly perfect!!!! I just recently spent a good chunk of change to get the car detailed inside and out. Here is the parts list:
Engine/Drivetrain:
-12lb stock lightened flywheel (balanced and resurfaced)
-short shifter
-BRAND NEW! Driveshaft and center bearing AND guibo
-Valvetrain was redone about 10k ago (will check service records to see all that was actually done)
-19# mustang injectors
-m30afm with 3" cone filter and silicon coupler
-Euro downpipes with highflow magnaflow cat and IE catback (custom welded) Sounds stock but better flowing...perfect
-Stock 525 ecu and 173 ecu with 93octane chip and 7k revlimiter
-clutch has about 4k miles on it
-3.73 open diff, still works great. no noise that i can hear
-LOTS MORE maintainence work, have records somewhere if interested.
Suspension/Steering
-IE stage 3 springs
-Bilstein sports
-IE 25mm Front sway bar with adjustable links
-ST 19mm rear sway bar with adjustable links
-Urethane upper rear strut mounts
-new upper front strut mounts
-New thicker rear spring pads (levels out suspension beautifully)
-Brand new control arms including ALL ball joints
-new Control arm bushings
-BRAND NEW steering rack
Interior/Exterior Asthetics
-Freshly painted 87 iS front airdam
-Freshly painted iS rear trunk spoiler
-Euro Grilles straight from Germany :D
-8 stage detail on exterior (it was expensive and looks amazing)
-new leather shift boot
-new leather shift knob (5speed pattern)
-Mtech 1 wheel in good condition, could use a new m stripe thingy though
-Freshly painted side door panel things (painted black like stock)
-Detailed interior (tan vinyl, GREAT CONDITION!!)
-Some random sony aftermarket head unit
Car handles AMAZINGLY! Zero body roll and flat through any turn you throw at it. The rear end will occasionally step out, but I set it up that way. The adjustable links let you set the car up for nuetral steer, oversteer, or understeer. I love this car so much and want to see it go to a good home, I have spent more money than I should have on this car and need to find a cheaper weekend/track car to work on.
The BAD:
Car starts fine, but idles a bit rough. Runs great when underload but for some reason will almost sputter out and stall while slowing down and sitting at stop lights. I just 2 days ago finished putting in the m30afm and 19#ers and chip so the car COULD be just learning but I dont know. Other than that the only annoying thing is the grinding sound of the spring or spring hat catching on the new struts on the passenger side front, doesnt hurt/hinder handling.
Looking for $5,000 OBO Might also be interested in trades, but non e30 preferably. Let me know.
